Summary: "Canyou please do a Wednesday one shot where the reader knows how to play guitar(both electric and acoustic) and sometimes Wednesday just likes to listen toher playing and then at one point they play their instruments together?"
A/N: The video linked above was given to me by the requester, so this was the original song they had in mind whilst making this request. Y/P/O = Your preferred outfit
You've always been creative, whether it came from arts and crafts, drawings, paintings, or music. You were an ace at all of it. It didn't come from any freakish powers or abnormalities, but from your background of being a little poorer than others.
You had learned how to make the best of any situation from your upbringing of scraps and the bare minimum. You have taught yourself everything you know to date. You would make frequent trips to the public library to read about everything and anything that took your interest. When you were 14, you got your first summer job washing cars, and with your savings, you bought yourself your first guitar—an acoustic one.
You had been given a scholarship at Nevermore for your talents. They saw potential in you, a bright future. You weren't a fang, fur, faceless, gorgon, siren or a Davinci. You were strange in the sense that you couldn't fit into the normal world, so Nevermore welcomed you with open arms.
You did get picked on your first year for being the only normie student, but as time went on, the comments didn't bother you as much, and you learned to roll with the punches.
You loved music; it was your escape. It gave you fulfilment. You didn't just play the notes; you got lost in the music, you let the chaos of it sway you to the rhythm and melody. You joined the school band, and you played in your dorm when you had free time.
During Outreach Day, before Wednesday set the statue of Joseph Crackstone on fire, you had played a set with the school band, you had a quick 1-minute solo with your guitar, and it was respected in the young Addams' opinion, even if the cheesy preppy song you were forced to play wasn't to her tastes.
Since then, whenever the opportunity presented itself. She'd listen to you play. Whether it was early in the morning before classes started, late at night during curfew, she'd stop by and just listen. At first, she'd hide, keeping herself out of sight, but when you caught wind of her presence, you started inviting her to join you, and since then, the rest was history. You became two peas in a pod, just without the frequent social hangouts; it was more of a silent, unspoken friendship that blossomed naturally.
You had quite an admiration for her, too. The way she played the cello always captured your attention. She only ever played when she was stressed or struggling, making the notes she played of whatever song she picked more morbid and darker than the original. She played the notes with such grace and anguish, like the cello was connected to her. Whenever you heard her play, you'd stop what you were doing to listen because she always had a satisfying finish to the music.

You were playing again in your dorm, a classic from Pachelbel. 'Canon in D'. It was a song heavily dependent on the cello, but you were having fun just strumming the chords to the song as you listened to it off a video on YouTube. The volume from your phone was quiet, so you could hear yourself better in case you needed to make any improvements. You were sitting on the edge of your bed, music stands in front of you to be your guide, as your phone sat with the paper to keep you in time.
"Pachelbel. Quite fitting." A voice made you halt your fingers, turning your head to the door to spot Wednesday there, her cello case on her back as she regarded you with a look of subtle interest.
