🎶you know, I never found love until I looked into your eyes (looked into your eyes)🎶

XAVIER 🥀

Not my kind of kiss, but it was a really good kiss. I kissed her for fun, yet it felt so good I nearly took it too far. Usually, I'm vehement about intimacy and sex, but that slow and calm kiss stirred something in me. I felt an electric wave flash through my bloodstream. What I'm trying to say is her lips taste like fucking nirvana. I almost lost my mind.

I pulled up outside JS Motors and saw my lawyer, Mr. Shannon, already standing outside the building, just as instructed. I grabbed my briefcase and took the stairs. "Good morning, sir," he said as we walked in through the large glass doors. "Good morning." I checked my wristwatch - 7:10 am. Only ten minutes late, and I doubted they all arrived exactly on time. If they did, I'd be impressed.

We took the elevator and finally arrived at the meeting boardroom floor. Only a few employees lingered in the area, aware of the important meeting about to take place.

Upon entering the boardroom, I was surprised to see faces I hadn't expected. I recognized Mr. Torres, his secretary, and other key board members, but one face did catch my attention. I undid my jacket button, took a seat next to Mr. Torres at the head of the table, adjusted my tie, and positioned my wristwatch. I prided myself on being business-savvy and always endeavored to be smart in all situations.

"Good morning." I flashed a wicked smile, aware that they all thought I was late. "Good morning," they replied in unison, except for the one face that bothered me. He wore a tailored brown three-piece suit with a black shirt, but no tie, and looked to be in his mid-thirties. Everything about him seemed acceptable, yet his gaze unsettled me.

"Sorry I'm late," I said, sighing. "Let's begin." I cleared my throat, leaned back in my seat, and locked eyes with the stranger opposite me. His irritating glare was hard to ignore, but I relished a good stare-down. "You've got something to say to me," I said, my tone low and even. The man remained silent, his smirk growing wider as he dropped his eyes to the table.

Mr. Torres looked awkwardly between us, then took a deep breath. "Let's begin, shall we?" "Please," the stranger said, shooting me a pointed stare. I wasn't sure what his issue was, but maybe I was just too intimidating. Yeah, I can have that effect.

"So, Mr. Meadows, this is Mr. Walter, CEO of Power Shares company..." Oh, so it that fucker. "And Mr Walter this is Mr Meadows, CEO of... " Mr. Torres started, but I cut in, "Let's skip the introductions, we need to move fast." I glanced at Mr. Waller, who seemed just as impatient as I was.

"The two of you had the same motive - to buy out JS Motors, and it was a private deal... for both of you..." Mr. Torres began, but I interrupted again, "Why don't we just bid and get it over with?" I suggested, scrolling through my phone. "Yes, so what's the highest you can offer, Mr. Wayne?" I asked, to which Mr. Torres corrected, "Walter."

"I don't fucking care; after this, we'll never meet again anyway," I said calmly and unbothered, chuckling. Mr. Walker (or whatever his name was) also chuckled, working his jaw from side to side. "This is insane. I feel like I'm here to be insulted... You bring a schoolboy, Mr. Torres?" he said, his tone dripping with disdain.

I felt a surge of insult, but I didn't let it get to me. "Really?" I raised an eyebrow. "Let's just act sane, Mr. Walker. Professional. We're here for business, not to exchange high degrees of respect." I stated, my tone even.
