🎶will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful? Will you still love me when I got nothing but my aching soul? I know you will, I know you will, I know you will. Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful?🎶
~Lana Del Rey~DOVE 🕊
Xavier insisted on making me drive all the way to Harrington College. This time, I wasn't perched on his lap, but he still gave me a few clipped instructions. I found myself missing the closeness. The truth was, I had no desire to go back to college, but it wasn't like I had a choice. The silence between us grew heavier with each passing mile, grating on my nerves. I couldn't stand it anymore.
"What's a rainbow kiss?" I asked suddenly.
Xavier looked at me with furrowed brows before laughing, a deep, almost incredulous sound. "Where did you hear that from?"
I couldn't figure out why he found it so amusing. "From that party where you picked me up," I replied. He didn't say anything, just kept laughing, and that only made me more curious. Xavier had kissed me in so many ways, and I wondered if a rainbow kiss was one of them. But the way he laughed told me otherwise.
"You wanna try it?" he asked, a playful smirk tugging at his lips. Something in his tone told me this wasn't an ordinary kiss.
"Maybe," I murmured, my curiosity bubbling up despite my better judgment. If curiosity doesn't kill me, then I don't know what will.
"Okay."
THIRD PERSON'S POV
"Is it normal that I don't want to be here?" Dove asked as she carefully maneuvered the car into the college parking lot, following Xavier's instructions.
"We can always leave," Xavier suggested.
Dove laughed, the sound tinged with irony. They both knew she was too much of a good girl to skip class, and Xavier knew it better than anyone. As they stepped out of the parking lot, they ran into Mr. Axel, who was heading in the opposite direction.
Mr. Axel stared at Dove for a full minute, long enough for Xavier to catch him. No one gets angrier than a possessive boyfriend. He stopped dead in his tracks, his eyes narrowing at Mr. Axel, forcing Dove to stop too. She looked at Xavier, puzzled by the sudden tension, only to see Mr. Axel walking away.
"What's wrong?" Dove asked, her voice laced with concern.
"I didn't like the way he stared at you," Xavier replied, his tone clipped as he draped an arm protectively over her shoulder. They continued walking, but Xavier's possessiveness hung in the air like a storm cloud. He was far too possessive of Dove, and even a glance in her direction could be dangerous.
As they walked off, Noelle hurried after Mr. Axel. She was always lurking around Harrington College, even though she wasn't a student. Her only goal was to stalk Xavier, seduce him, and find any way to hurt Dove so she couldn't be with him.
"I don't like how you've been hanging around here lately," Mr. Axel said as he popped open his trunk to grab something. Noelle ignored him, her focus unwavering.
"I see your little plan with Dove went down the drain," she sneered, laughing. "Xavier won't spare you if you try anything on his girl, trust me."
Mr. Axel slammed the trunk shut and shot her a withering look. "You overrate this college boy."
As they walked off, Noelle hurried after Mr. Axel. She was always lurking around Harrington College, even though she wasn't a student. Her only goal was to stalk Xavier, seduce him, and find any way to hurt Dove so she couldn't be with him.
