🎶I'm trying to let you know just how much you mean to me🎶
~My Chemical Romance~DOVE 🕊
I arrived at class as early as 5:00 a.m., but I hadn't slept a wink. Xavier and I had stayed up late chatting outside, and my so-called roommates decided to make an issue out of it. They taunted me, saying Xavier was only using me because he could never truly care for someone like me. I bit my tongue and ignored their harsh comments - people will always talk, and I've learned to be a punching bag for their insults.
But then they started making a ruckus, chatting loudly, and disturbing my peace. One girl was glued to her gaming console, squealing with every failure, while the other two invited guests over. I'm extremely sensitive to noise, so it was impossible to sleep. I was sure I had dark circles under my eyes, but I didn't care. I dozed through my first and second periods, unable to focus or ask my classmates for help because I barely knew them. I felt stressed and exhausted.
After the last period, I packed my books and headed to the library, hoping to find some solace. But even there, I couldn't keep my eyes open, so I decided to take a short nap.

"Man, you've been hanging out with Dove a lot lately. Are you sure she's safe around you?" Miles asked, raising an eyebrow.
"She is," I replied with a laugh.
Miles didn't look convinced. "Spare the little girl, will you?"
I teased, "Oh, so you can make your move?"
Miles chuckled. "She is pretty sexy, though."
I rolled my eyes. "Shut up, man."
We both laughed, and Miles asked, "Seriously, though, you've been absent from college a lot lately. Where do you go?"
I shrugged. "Handling some business."
Miles furrowed his brow, and I knew something stupid was about to come out of his mouth. "Only hitmen say that," he said, taking a bite of his fry.
I raised an eyebrow. "What if I do?"
Miles snorted. "I wouldn't be surprised. You're practically a beast when you get angry."
He'd literally wet and shit his pants if he knew I actually killed. "A beast." I repeated, beneath my breath.
Despite our conversation being over, I found myself wanting to see Dove again. I'd grown accustomed to her presence. "I'm heading out, and make sure you clean this mess," I said, gesturing to the room.
"I'll clean it," Miles replied, imitating my accent.
I tossed the remote at him, hitting him squarely on the forehead with a knock. "Fuvk. See what I mean?" he rubbed his forehead, groaning. "You could kill someone!"
If only he knew.
"That was just a remote. You can handle it. You're a man," I said, grabbing a white shirt from the closet.
"Man, this might leave a mark... I have girlfriends, for fuck's sake! Do you want to ruin my face?" Miles complained.
"At least you'd talk less," I teased, tugging on the shirt's hem and slipping my arms through the sleeves. "You're evil," I chuckled.
"Don't forget to clean your mess," I reminded him before heading out.
"Whatever," Miles shrugged, taking a drumstick from the bucket. "You should try these drumsticks. You're missing out."
"You are msking it hard for me to eat them," I deadpanned, shaking my head and leaving the dorm.
