🎶ooh, open your lips undress me, hooked on your tongue. Ohh love your kiss is deadly. Don't stop🎶
~Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello~THIRD PERSON'S POV
Xavier's gaze lingered, as if searching for the perfect phrase to convey the depths of his emotions. But words seemed inadequate to express the intensity of his feelings. Instead, he posed a question, his voice low and husky, his face inches from hers, making her breath hitch. "Why do you think that?" he asked, his eyes piercing hers.
She swallowed hard, her heart racing with anticipation, before her gaze faltered, shyly avoiding his. "Because so many people...so many people like you," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
"I don't care how many people want me," Xavier replied, his voice filled with conviction. "I just want you."
Xavier knew Dove's mind was a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions, but he vowed to always be her safe haven. Her unique spirit and beauty captivated him, her vibe reminded him of no one. Whenever he looked at Dove, his love for her grew, overwhelming him with the depth of his feelings.
"I struggle to express my emotions, Dove," he said, his voice sincere. "But know this: I'd do anything for you. I've fallen for the beauty inside you, and your sexy exterior is just a bonus."
Dove chuckled at his words, but her heart fluttered. "Xavier." She breathed. "I don't want you to overthink, okay?" Xavier said. Dove nodded. "Good girl." The phrase immediately turned her into a melty pile of girl jello. "Do you want to watch a movie?" He asked all of a sudden.
"Now?" Xavier nodded. "Aren't you busy?" Xavier sighed while staring at the papers on the table. "I can take a break." Dove smiled. He pushed his hair back and went to pack the papers and files in order.
As Xavier packed up his papers and files, Dove's eyes devoured him, taking in the way his hair curled slightly at the nape of his neck, the way his eyes narrowed in concentration, and the way his bottom lip was caught between his teeth. Her gaze wandered down to his neck, her heart racing with excitement. She was falling in love with him all over again, her body responding to his presence like a magnet. Butterflies fluttered in her stomach, and her skin tingled with anticipation.
Dove's voice was barely above a whisper. "Xavier?" she called, her tone hesitant. Xavier responded with a low hum, his eyes locked on hers.
"Do you want to kiss?" she asked, her words slipping out before she could rethink them. But instead of regret, she felt a sense of freedom, as if she'd finally revealed a secret she'd kept hidden.
Xavier's chuckle was low and husky, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "With the way you're looking at me, I don't think it'll end with just a kiss," he said, his voice dripping with intimacy.
Dove's gasp was silent, her eyes widening as she realized he'd noticed her gaze. But instead of embarrassment, she felt a thrill of excitement. "I want to see where it will lead us," she said, her voice barely audible, her words spoken with a sense of reckless abandon.
Xavier's smile was sinister, his lips curling up in a way that made Dove's heart race. It was as if he knew he'd already gotten under her skin, and he was ready to take it further. And Dove, it seemed, was more than willing to let him.
Dove's gaze drifted away from Xavier's intense stare, fixing on the study entrance as a faint blush crept up her cheeks. The silence between them was palpable, heavy with unspoken desire. She curled her toes, her fingers tightening around the table edge, bracing herself for the unknown.
Xavier closed the distance between them with purposeful strides, his eyes never leaving hers. Without a word, he grasped her face, his fingers wrapping around her jawline like a gentle vice. Then, his lips claimed hers in a kiss that was both fierce and possessive. It was as if he sought to capture the very breath she held, to reclaim it as his own before it slipped away.
