Also lately, I've been replaying some DMC5, my random headcannon suddenly was making Y/N, as the story progresses, much more (little bit) arrogant, towards demons—not his fellow demon slayers or humans—but towards demons mostly. Since it's pretty clear, he's the strongest demon slayer of the current generation, sooo

But like I won't put it at that, I just gotta think more if it fits the flow of where his character is going

"Brother! WAHH!"

Around Y/N's body were his siblings. Their small arms embracing his waist and legs tightly, crying with tears of joy, with Tanjiro being the loudest of the bunch and had practically more tears than Nezuko as they all embraced the eldest of their family.

Y/N just patted all their backs with a blank yet subtle small smile as he assured them, "I'm still here. Don't worry.."

"Mm.. you a-aren't-t are sp-spirit right?" Nezuko sniffed

"I'm not, why else could you hug me?" Y/N chuckled dryly as he wrapped his arms around his siblings with a sigh "I'm here still.."

Suddenly, Y/N heard the sound of a gasp behind him and his arms stopped embracing his siblings before he stood and turned around "Mo--"

With a small yet audible 'thump', Kie wrapped her arms around her son, eyes clenched shut tight as tears flowed from her eyes, her face burying into her son's chest as she sniffed.

"I thought you were gonna be asleep for long. Hic."

Patting his mother slowly on the back, Y/N smiles "I'm right here now.."

"Thank Goodness then.." With another sniff, she pulls away and looks up, wiping her tears "..A-Are you.."

"I'm fine. I'm fully recovered, no major wounds.." Patting her back again, Y/N assured her "..I'm sorry for making you worry, all of you also, I'm sorry." With a bow of his head, the strongest turned to his family with a apologetic look on his face

Kie sniffs "It's okay, you were merely doing what you trained for. Because of you, you saved someone, didn't you?" She smiles

Tanjiro nodded "You did!"

"Big sister Kanae told us that because of you, she was able to leave nearly unscathed, she.. she said she had felt hopeless at that time but when you came, she felt relieved but then.." Nezuko pouts "..You had to be asleep for a long time, Big Brother! We were worried!"

Y/N chuckles "I apologized didn't I?" he said, patting her head

"It's not enough, big brother! We wanted to spend more time with you! And if you died.." Nezuko frowns before embracing her brother again

Patting her head still, Y/N sighs "I'm sure I won't die. Not this time.."

As the two were having a heartwarming moment, Tanjiro blinked before looking closely "..Uh.. Big Brother?"

"Hm?"

Tanjiro pointed at his own left eye "..Your eye.. the one in the left.. it's become.. lighter than usual.."

Eyes widening, Y/N looked down—a brief flash of memories entering his mind as he remembered before noticing the worried look on the faces of his family.

"Are you sure you're okay, son? Is it.."

"I'm okay, mother. It's alright. I'll.. check in with Shinobu later for it."

Kie nodded "Okay.."

Before further questions could be asked, a booming voice echoed through the entire room "My friend Y/N! Is that you?! You're already awake!"
