"Yeobo 10:30 na kailangan mo ng bisitahin ang mga mga bata, kanina pa sila naghihitay sa training room."

Without a second thought or a knock, I pushed open the door, pero sa sala pa lang nakita ko na siya. His eyes fixated on the screen, engrossed in a conversation that I was not a part of. The sight of him so engrossed was puzzling, and a sense of intrigue washed over me.

But then, something unexpected happened. The moment he caught sight of me, he swiftly closed his laptop with a look of surprise etched on his face. It was as if my sudden appearance had startled him. "Gab? You are ten minutes late."

"Anong oras na kanina pa sila nag-hihintay sa'yo ano ba kasing ginagawa mo diyan?"

"Bout what?" I narrowed my eyes because of his strange behavior, it seems like this guy is hiding something from me that he doesn't want me to know. "Sino kausap mo?" Nung tinanong ko siya at sisilip na sana sa laptop niya ng tuluyan niya itong pinatay.

Usually, he even allows me to peek whenever he has a conference with other business meetings, but now it seems like he's hiding something.

"I'm leaving now, you'll take care of the OD projects. You know what to do, right? And about the ED, alam mo na rin ang gagawin don." he said, his words catching me off guard.

"Anak ng-- Kim Woe Ben huwag mong gawin sa 'kin 'to ipagawa mo na sa'kin ang lahat ng checking please huwag lang 'to ano alam ko sa pag-handle ng group something-something--"

I protested, but he silenced me with a stern look.

"You can do this. I have a lot of trust in you," he reassured me, but his words did little to ease my apprehension. "Why me? What do I know about these things? I have a lot work to do and you that--" "Yeah I know." I tried to reason with him, but he was unyielding.

Kinuha niya na ang coat niya at cellphone sa mesa. Bakit ba siya nagmamadali. Babae ba ang dahilan? Malamang babae ang ganda kasi ng ngiti niya kanina, na bura lang nung dumating ako. Alam niyo may naisip na ako na dahilan eh.

That's why he seemed deep in thought last night. I now understand the reason why he asked me about what women like to receive this upcoming valentines day at bukas na 'yun. Does he have another woman he's going to meet? Ito ba 'yung magandang babae sa portrait?
