Tragedy

I left the yatch but my mind stays there.

It's been hours since Sylvio took me away from there but firing of guns kept ringing in my ear.

"Are you okay?" He asked me.

I glanced at him. He is now driving a raptor ranger. A while ago, we reached a small port. From there, we've been driving for almost two hours in land now. I don't even know where is he taking me. I just zoned out.

"Is he gonna be okay?" My voice still trembles.

Sylvio looked back at me for a while.

"Those men in black...are they your brothers?" I asked, a little scared for his answer.

His jaw clenched. He maneuver the steering wheel skillfully.

I took a deep breath and paused for some minutes. "I heard one of them."

Yumuko ako at pinaglaruan ang mga daliri ko na siyang nakapamahinga sa aking kandungan. Kumalabog muli sa kaba at takot ang puso ko nang maisip ang nangyaring tagpo kanina. 

"He said that this is treason. Sorin became a...traitor."

That word...is like the biggest lump in my throat I couldn't swallow.

Traitor. Sorin is a traitor.

"Is that true?" I asked Sylvio, almost inaudible now.

Sylvio didn't answer me. 

I smiled without humor. "I guess it's true..."

My tears stung my eye again. I am not fool for this. I know why he became a traitor. He hide me. The authority are looking for me and yet, he still hide me! He knows the danger of doing it but still, he did it! I was right all along. There's more reason why he stopped my wedding. Aside from not wanting to tie me in Monte de Ramos family, this is his reason. He wanted to keep me. Away from danger. Even if it means ruining his reputation.

"You're damn lucky to be alive after what you went through. You do recognize that, don't you?" Sylvio talked when my cries started to get loud. 

I sobs more.

"I already warned him the dangers associated with it. He didn't listen. Not even once." Madiin niyang kwento na may halong pagkadismaya.

"And now, he's in danger." I whispered.

His head snapped at me. His brows are now furrowed. Rage is also noticeable in his face as if I said something stupid. 

"He never fucking listen." He uttered with so much annoyance. 

I bit my lower lip as tears started to rush more. 

I was the one who told him to bring me to Hugo. Pinilit ko siya! Ilang beses ko siyang pinilit na dalhin na ako sa kaibigan ko. Hindi ko alam! Hindi ko alam na ganito kadelikado.

Sylvio did not talk again after that. I didn't too. I zoned out again as my mind wanders about Sorin's safety. 

He just drove until we reached a sophisticated place. May ilang building na tatlo ang palapag, may isa, may dalawa. Ang mga iyon ay dikit dikit at tila magkakakonekta. He removed his seatbelts so I did the same. Our eyes met for a second but he immediately look away and went outside. I saw him took out his phone and made a call.

I took another heavy sigh as I survey the buildings. There are men in black patroling the whole place. It gives shiver down to my spine when I saw their rifles. Bitbit bitbit nila iyon na tila ba hindi iyon delikadong bagay.
