Mailins POV

The next morning, still in my room, I had just finished getting dressed when a knock sounded on the door.

"Come in!" I called out, expecting Nike and Naile to be ready for breakfast as well.

The door creaked open, and to my delight, Amanda walked in, her presence instantly brightening the room.

"Good morning, babe," she greeted me with a sweet smile, leaning in to peck me on the lips. Nike and Naile couldn't contain their excitement, letting out delighted squeals.

"You ready for breakfast?" Amanda turned to them, and they nodded eagerly in response.

Taking my hand, Amanda laced her fingers with mine, and together, we made our way out of the room, down the halls, and towards the cafeteria, anticipation bubbling within us for the day ahead.

Once inside the bustling cafeteria, we grabbed trays and filled them with food, eager to fuel ourselves for the day ahead.

"Mailin! Amanda! Jasminka! Constanze! Naile! Nike!" Akko's voice rang out, drawing our attention. We turned to see Akko waving enthusiastically, motioning for us to join her and her team. With smiles, we made our way over to their table.

Just as Amanda and I were about to take our seats, Akko enveloped us in a tight hug, her excitement palpable. "I'm so happy for you guys!" she exclaimed.

"Thanks, Akko," Amanda and I replied, touched by her genuine happiness. Lotte and Sucy, noticing our intertwined hands, also offered their congratulations, and we expressed our gratitude before settling down to eat.

After breakfast, an announcement echoed through the halls, summoning us all to the auditorium. Amanda and I walked there hand in hand, feeling a sense of unity and warmth between us as we stood side by side.

As the headmistress addressed the gathered students, she revealed exciting news about the upcoming Samhein festival. Teams would be formed, and each would work on presentations to showcase their skills during the celebration.

"October 31st is soon, which means that we will soon be celebrating our school's annual tradition, the Samhein festival," the headmistress announced. "It's the perfect opportunity to showcase our students' talents."

The professors conjured up a screen surrounded by flames, displaying images and clips of past festival presentations. From enchanting toads to memorizing spells and ancient dances, the variety of performances elicited a range of reactions from the students, from groans to expressions of boredom.

"Are they serious?" Amanda's incredulous voice resonated beside me, mirroring my own disbelief.

"Is the festival always this lame?" Akko's disappointment was palpable in her tone.

"This Festival seems rather boring," I remarked, unable to hide my disappointment.

"It is," Amanda concurred with a resigned sigh, echoing the sentiments of the rest of us.

As the headmistress continued her speech, outlining the festival's events and the crowning of the moonlit witch, a sense of apathy seemed to settle over the crowd.
