Mailins POV:

I breathed a sigh of relief. "Thanks, that guy is creepy gross."

"What a jerk," Amanda muttered, sticking her tongue out at Louis's retreating figure.

"So, to what do I owe this magical visit?" Andrew inquired; his tone laced with curiosity.

We retreated outside to a tranquil wooden path, where Amanda and I settled onto a bench. Andrew casually leaned against it, while Akko perched on Amanda's arm.

"Why are you trying to cause trouble? If we get caught, we can't look for the word!" Akko interjected; her frustration evident.

"Oh, just shut up. Do you think I actually care about any of that stuff?" Amanda retorted; her tone dismissive.

"Why did you even come here, then?" Akko pressed

"'cause I wanted to make a big splash before I left Luna Nova, duh," Amanda replied casually, prompting my eyes to widen in shock.

"WHAT?!" I exclaimed, unable to contain my surprise.

Realization dawned on Amanda, and she called out desperately after me as I rose from the bench and turned to walk away.

"No! If you wanna go so badly, then go!" My voice cracked with emotion as tears streamed down my cheeks. I couldn't fathom why she would want to leave, especially without discussing it with me first.

In a panic, I began to run, desperate to escape the overwhelming rush of emotions. I couldn't bear the thought of her leaving me like this, without any consideration for our relationship.

Amanda cursed inwardly, realizing the gravity of her words. "Shit!"

"That's pretty selfish of you!" Akko's voice echoed behind her, tinged with disappointment.

"And your point is?" Amanda shot back, frustration bubbling beneath her calm exterior. "I'm gonna do whatever I wanna do! Try it sometime."

"Even if it means breaking someone's heart? Like you just did with Mailin's?" Akko's accusation cut through the air, leaving Amanda momentarily stunned.

With a heavy sigh, Amanda turned and took off, her resolve faltering as she realized the magnitude of her actions. She needed to find Mailin and set things right, no matter what it took.

Mailin's heart raced as she traversed the grounds of the academy, grappling with the turmoil of recent events.

I can't fathom why she would want to leave like this!

Her steps were heavy with the weight of uncertainty as she hugged herself for comfort, lost in thought. Suddenly, a disquieting sensation swept over her, signaling imminent danger to someone dear.

"Amanda!" Mailin's breath caught in her throat as she bolted forward. If her intuition proved correct, she needed to act swiftly to aid her beloved.

En route, she collided with Andrew, her anxiety palpable. "Andrew! Where are Akko and Amanda?" she implored urgently, her concern evident.

"If I'm not mistaken, they're right inside this room," Andrew responded, swinging open a nearby door.

Mailin's eyes widened in alarm at the sight before her, propelling her into action. Amanda lay on the ground, locked in a struggle with Louis over the Holy Grail.

"Amanda!" Mailin's voice echoed through the room as she rushed past Andrew, her pulse quickening with dread. Her gaze flitted to the sinister implements nearby, eliciting a gasp of horror.

"What's happening?" Andrew's voice cut through the tension as he took in the scene, his realization dawning as he surveyed the tools of torment. "Now I understand."

"You're meddling where you shouldn't be. Leave," Louis commanded, his tone laced with menace.

"Louis, your principles may be your own, but your current actions are anything but civilized," Andrew asserted firmly.

"We're delivering justice to the witches who trespassed," Louis retorted.

"While it's true they entered our grounds without permission, subjecting them to such a barbaric punishment is deplorable. A true gentleman would handle this matter in a more dignified manner," Andrew reasoned.

As the confrontation escalated, we found ourselves on a bridge, where Amanda and Louis engaged in a duel. Akko and I were bound with ropes, leaving me hanging uncomfortably, my wrists secured to the top of the stone wall. Louis's lingering, predatory gaze unsettled me as he tied me up.

Throughout the tense exchange, Amanda glared and growled at him, her determination unwavering. The stakes were high, and my heart raced with fear as I watched, hoping Amanda wouldn't come to harm. Though I knew she was capable, Louis fought unfairly, casting a shadow of doubt on the outcome.

Despite the danger, Amanda exuded strength and grace in her movements, her resolve unshakable. When victory was finally hers, Akko and I cheered with relief.

However, Louis's destructive act shattered the grail, leading to unexpected consequences as the knight statue came to life and possessed him. Amanda rose to the challenge once more, ultimately emerging triumphant.

As we returned to the school grounds, Amanda and I found solace on a bench. She gently took my hands in hers, her eyes brimming with sincerity.

"I'm sorry for suggesting I would leave. I won't go anywhere, I promise," Amanda declared earnestly, her gaze locking with mine. "I love you, and I'll never leave your side. Please forgive my selfishness."

Moved by her words, I smiled lovingly, cupping her cheek and guiding her to meet my gaze. "I forgive you," I whispered before sealing my forgiveness with a passionate kiss. In that moment, I felt her smile against my lips, our love stronger than ever.
