A few days later, we gathered outside on the school grounds of Luna Nova, basking in the warmth of the sun. I found myself wrapped in the comforting embrace of my girlfriend, enjoying a moment of tranquility amidst the bustling atmosphere.
In the distance, Akko made another valiant attempt to master broom flying. "Wind? Good! Broom? Good! Timing? Good! Because today is Mayfair!" her determined voice rang out.
With a deep breath, Akko exclaimed, "Tia Freyre!" Yet, despite her efforts, nothing seemed to happen.
Meanwhile, Amanda and I sat at a quaint round table adorned with a delightful spread of tea service and delectable sandwiches. Diana joined us, and together, we savored the soothing tea and delightful treats.
In the background, Akko persisted in her endeavors, though her spellcasting yielded no results. "Big surprise, it didn't work today either," Sucy remarked casually, engrossed in a video game session with Constanze.
"But it looked like it was closer this time, Akko!" Lotte offered encouragingly.
"Really?" Akko's voice carried a hint of hope as she turned to Lotte for reassurance.
Lotte nodded reassuringly. "It's getting better, little by little."
"I don't know," Amanda remarked, reclining in her chair with her arms crossed behind her head. "Looked just as bad as it did the first time to me."
"Amanda!" I playfully scolded her, lightly punching her arm.
"Hey! I thought you guys were here to cheer me on!" Akko protested, a hint of disappointment in her tone.
Diana sighed, her expression reflecting a mixture of sympathy and resignation. "I'm only here because you sounded so confident, but it doesn't seem today will be your shining moment."
"We are, Akko!" I interjected cheerfully, turning to my girlfriend for support.
"I'm just gonna say yes because you look so cute," Amanda grumbled, though a fond smile tugged at her lips.
"Oh my god! Just get married already!" Diana exclaimed; a hint of exasperation laced with amusement evident in her voice. We couldn't help but blush furiously at her teasing.
With a playful screech of surprise, I toppled over my chair, my cheeks burning with embarrassment. Amanda's laughter filled the air, and I shot her a playful glare. "That's it! You're not getting any more kisses from me today!"
Amanda gasped dramatically. "What?! You can't do that!"
"Ooh, what a threat!" the others chimed in, their laughter echoing around us.
"Ooh, I can!" I declared defiantly, rising to my feet and striding over to Akko. In a spontaneous burst of enthusiasm, I transformed my clothes into a cheerleader outfit. "Go Akko! Go Akko! Go! Go! GO! You can do this!"
Encouraged by our support, Akko tried again, and this time, it worked! Cheers erupted from all around as we celebrated her success, united in our joy and camaraderie.
