In the bustling cafeteria, I sat among my friends—Nike, Naile, Jasminka—and my beloved girlfriend, Amanda. A captivating video played on the oversized screen, captivating everyone's attention.

"Wow, that's amazing!" I exclaimed, engrossed in the footage of hunters riding wolves and battling ghosts.

Excitement rippled through the group as we watched the action unfold. Amanda, always knowledgeable about such matters, enlightened me about the spectacle on display.

"It's called the Wild Hunt," Amanda explained, her voice tinged with enthusiasm. "Those riding wolves are hunters, specialists trained to capture every ghost within twelve days. Their ultimate goal is to apprehend this year's ghosts by year-end."

"Unbelievable!" I marveled, captivated by the concept. When the video indicated the hunters' impending arrival at Blytonbury, I couldn't contain my excitement. "Does that mean they'll be here?"

"Yes, they'll be arriving on the final day," Amanda confirmed, her nod accentuating the thrill of the prospect.

"Eep! Can we go see them? Please, Amanda!" I pleaded eagerly, my desire to witness the hunters firsthand palpable.

Amanda chuckled at my enthusiasm, her affectionate gaze softening. "Of course, we can. But enough of that adorable pleading; you're making me blush," she teased, her laughter echoing in the vibrant atmosphere.

Giggling in delight, I eagerly accepted her promise, brimming with anticipation.

As our conversation continued, I noticed Akko trailing behind Stanbot, prompting me to inquire about Constanze's whereabouts.

"She's in her lab, crafting her weapon for the hunt," Amanda informed me before rising from her seat and stretching. "Come on, let's head to our room," she suggested to Jasminka.

With a collective agreement, we bid farewell to the cafeteria's lively ambiance and embarked on our separate paths—Amanda and Jasminka to their room, and Nike, Naile, and I to ours, each brimming with anticipation for the upcoming Wild Hunt.

I slipped out of my uniform and into my pajamas—a soft pink shirt paired with black shorts.

"Oh, goodness," I grumbled as I adjusted my attire, feeling slightly constricted. "I really need to get new pajamas; these are getting too snug. I'm going to head over to Amanda's," I announced to Naile and Nike.

"Sure thing, have fun!" Nike chimed in with a mischievous grin, prompting a blush to creep onto my cheeks.

"Quit it," I murmured playfully, my embarrassment evident as I exited the room.

Making my way to Amanda's door, I knocked lightly. "Hey, it's me. Can I come in?" I called out.

"Of course, come on in, babe," Amanda's voice welcomed me from inside.

I pushed the door open and stepped into the room, immediately snuggling up beside Amanda.

"Hey there," I greeted her with a smile.

Amanda chuckled in response. "Hey yourself," she replied, her affectionate gaze meeting mine.

Jasminka, observing our interaction, couldn't help but coo at us. "You two are just too adorable!"

"I'm not cute!" Amanda protested, her cheeks flushing with color, mirroring my own bashfulness.

Jasminka and I shared a laugh before settling into a conversation. Time seemed to slip away as we chatted comfortably.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, and Akko peeked in anxiously. "Is Constanze around?" she inquired; her tone tinged with concern.

"Hey, Akko," Amanda greeted her warmly from her spot on the bed, reclining on her side. I nestled beside her, finding solace in her embrace. With Amanda, I felt an overwhelming sense of security and love that could make my heart burst.

I turned to Akko and waved as she entered. "No, Constanze isn't here at the moment," Amanda informed her.

Akko's expression faltered with a hint of sadness, prompting me to glance at her with concern.

"Did you need her for something?" Amanda inquired, her tone gentle and understanding.

Akko hesitated before taking a seat on Constanze's bed and revealing the broken Stanbot. "Guess I kinda... broke Stanbot," she admitted sheepishly.

Amanda and I both sat up, concern evident as we inspected the damaged robot. "Oh, Akko, sometimes luck just isn't on your side," I sympathized.

"She's going to be pretty upset," Amanda remarked, her eyes lingering on the broken machine. "That bot was helping her construct her own weapon for the upcoming Wild Hunt."

"Why does she need to build a weapon?" Akko queried, looking puzzled.

"Don't you know?" Amanda glanced at me, prompting me to fill Akko in.

"She signed up as a participant," I explained.

"No way! Really?" Akko's eyes widened in surprise.

"Professor Croix even went out of her way to get the hunting permit for her," Jasminka remarked, offering Akko a chip.

"That's so cool!" Akko exclaimed, leaning against one of Constanze's bed posts.

"Uh, watch out," Amanda warned, her tone tinged with concern. Both Akko and I looked at her, puzzled.

Suddenly, the mattress of Constanze's bed flipped over, and Akko plummeted downward with a startled scream.

I jumped to my feet; eyes wide with shock as I stared at the spot where Akko had been sitting just moments before. "Akko! Is she going to be okay?" I turned to Amanda; my voice laced with worry.

"Don't worry, babe. Akko will be fine. She just fell into Constanze's lab," Amanda reassured me in an oddly relaxed tone, as if it were entirely normal for people to suddenly plummet through moving mattresses.

Sighing with relief, I settled back onto Amanda's bed. "Okay," I murmured.

Amanda joined me, and we cuddled up together while Jasminka watched us with adoration, her knitting needles clicking away in the background.

A few minutes later, Akko shot back up through the mattress and collided with the ceiling before tumbling back down onto the bed. Her face was flushed, and she seemed a bit disoriented.

"You gonna be okay?" Jasminka inquired; her concern evident in her voice.

Akko nodded, then quickly departed. Amanda and I exchanged puzzled glances before shrugging in unison.

"I'm going to bed now. It's pretty late," I announced, stretching as I stifled a yawn. My shirt rode up slightly, irritating me with its tightness.

Amanda's hand gently touched the exposed skin on my back, eliciting a soft squeal from me.

"Good night, babe," Amanda murmured, rising to give me a tender kiss.

"Night," I replied, blushing slightly as I left the room.
