It's our graduation.

I didn't expect to graduate as cum laude. Mula 1st year namaintain ko na maging maayos ang grades ko kahit nahihirapan na ko.

It's just a bonus to receive an award or graduate as cum laude. What's important is that you graduate and enjoy your college life because being a student only happens once, you should make the most out of it.

Si mama ang aakyat sakin sa stage. It feels good to forgive. Naalala ko na sinabi ko sa kanya na cum laude ako pumunta agad sya sa bahay non. Excited sya. She said she'll be the one to go up on stage to hang my medal. I agreed.

"Ang ganda naman ng anak mo mars" sabi ng nag mamake up sakin habang nakatingin ako sa salamin.

"Yes, she got it from me"

Sa PICC ang venue ng graduation namin, pagkarating namin nakita ko agad sila Zaira.

"Our Cum laude!" sigaw ni Jeska habang papalapit ako sa kanila. Pumapalakpak naman sila.

Nandito rin ang iba naming classmate pwera lang kila Lucy. Hindi nila napasa ang thesis kaya hindi namin sila ka batch kapag grumaduate sila.

"Hi congratulations" sabi sakin ng babae na familiar. Parent's ata sya sa ibang section. Sya yung may ari ng The travel club sa Acienda. She's so kind, she even remembered me.

"Thank you po"

"Let's go mom" lumapit samin si Nicy. Mommy nya si Ms. Bautista?

Tumingin sakin si Nicy at ngumiti sya sakin. "Congrats" I hugged her, I missed her so much.

"You know her mom?" nakangiting tanong sa kanya ni Nicy.

"Yes pumunta sila sa store, right?" tumango naman ako.

We went inside. The parents' seats were separated from ours. Ilang minuto nalang ay magsisimula na ang program.

Tinawag na ang ibang section at course nito. Huli ang IT department.

This is the happiest day of my life, graduating and going up on stage to receive the medal with my mom.

I faced the front after my mom hung the medal on me. I saw Zaira, proud of me. I'm so lucky to have been friends with them for 4 years.

Puro flash na ng camera ang paligid dahil natapos na ang program. Nagpicture kami for the last time. Si Jeska at Crissie mag aabroad na. Si Zaira dito na raw muna dahil may company ng may hawak sa kanya.

It's such a joy to see your friends becoming successful, especially those who used to have nothing. It's an incredibly satisfying feeling to be there and witness it happening for them.

Nakita ko si Nicy na papalapit sakin. Nagpicture kami for the last time. Baka hindi na kami magkita pa at wag naman sana.

"Thank you Ara for being a good friend" Niyakap namin ang isat isa.

Nicy gave me a small envelope. I looked at her while opening it, with no idea what was inside.

She gave me an invitation to work at their company.

"I'll wait to see if you'll accept it or not" tumango ako sa kanya.

"Thank you"
