A BODY CHAPTER 10

School had already begun and there was no sign of Lilly, Roman or Victora in the class today. Peter sat in English bored of listening to the teacher, Mr Hulk continually talk about what they had read so far. "So, what do, we think of Curley's wife?" said Mr Hulk. "She's a slag" shouted one of the voices in the classroom. Peter laughed under his breath, "Why do you think, that? asked Mr Hulk as he began to add to the mind map on the board. "She's always got her legs out on display" answered the voice in the class. It had appeared to be a boy called Kevin the one who was scratching his nose when Lilly first entered the room the previous day.

Just the head teacher walked into the room. "Good, morning everybody." He said to the class as he walked up to Mr Hulk's desk. "Would you mind if speak to the class?" he asked. "Go ahead" said Mr Hulk. The head teacher took a breath. "A body was found, last night behind the school at the golf course." The class gasped. "Oh god sir" said one oh the peers. "Who was it sir?" asked Peter. "The body is yet to be identified, but all we know it is of a female." This time the class remained silent as the headteacher continued his talk. "I want you all to be very careful when walking home from school, and if anyone knows anything or has seen anything you need to find one of us or contact the police immediately." Said the head teacher, he then exited the room and the class remained silent as they absorbed the shock. Peter looked at Lilly's, Victora's chair hoping it wasn't any of them two, even if it was Victora, she didn't deserve to die thought Peter. The bell had already rung to indicate the end of the lesson and Peter stood outside of the classroom writing a text message on his phone, as he then made his way to his next lesson.

It was now one o'clock in the afternoon as Lilly and Roman were awoken by his mother knocking on the door. Roman sat up in bed as he rubbed his eyes to see his mother standing with two cups of coffee. "You both slept in today" said Olivia but she didn't seem angry. Lilly sat up besides Roman pulling up the sheet to cover her breasts. "Thankyou "said Lilly as Olivia handed her one of the coffee cups whilst she then placed the other one on Romans side of the bed. "Probably no point of you going in today now, time you drive there it will be time to come back" advised his mother. Lilly looked at the clock on her side of the bed to see that it was almost two o'clock. "Did we really sleep that long?" thought Lilly.

After drinking their drinks, Roman turned to his side of the bed and stood up whilst he stood in just his boxers. "Babe, I'm just going in the shower" as he headed for his ensuite bathroom. Lilly remained sat in bed, flicking through her social medias on her phone which was still smashed. Her phone had multiple cracks down her phone and the corner of the screen was now missing. She continued flicking when she saw a news article that said "Dead Body found near school" Lilly dropped her phone into her lap. "Roman" she called out. She heard the shower suddenly stop and a few seconds after the bathroom door opened revealing Roman wrapped in a towel. "What is it babe?" as he began to dry himself. "A body's been found" she said with great concern.

Roman was now fully dressed and he went over to his draws and switched on the radio that sat there on top of them. The couple sat listening to the radio whilst Lilly began to get dressed putting on one of Romans t-shirts and sweaters. The shirt was a plain black one and the sweater was a grey knitted one. The news finally came on the radio. "Good, afternoon and welcome to HL Radio at three here's the latest. A body of a young girl was found at 6:00am this morning at a golf course not to far from Hemlock High. It is suspected that she was a student on her way home from school. The police are asking people with any information to come forwards." Roman switched off the Radio and then was silent as he stood looking out of the window. "It's ok" said Lilly as she approached him putting her hand on his shoulder. He turned around and brought her into his chest with his arms and he kissed her forehead. "I'm so glad it wasn't you" he said as his phone began to ring, it was Peter.

By now at school, it was Lunch time as Peter sat on a bench outside talking on his phone. "Have you heard, the news" asked Peter. "Yes, I have "said Roman. "Is Lilly with you asked Peter "yeah why" asked Roman with confusion. "That's good," said Peter. "Is everything ok at school?" asked Roman. "Not really, people have been wondering where you three have been." Said Peter, which made Roman very confused. "You mean us two, right?" asked Roman. "It's not just you both missing today" explained Peter. "Then who else" asked Roman. "Victoria" said Peter. "Fuck her" said Roman with anger as he put down the Phone.

Peter sat on his phone as the bell rang and the students were then called to the hall. Peter found a seat amongst all the other students within the hall. The head teacher walked to the front of the hall and began talking. "Good afternoon, everyone, so as of now you should all be aware about the body that's been discovered at the golf course, and it recently has been confirmed that the body has now been identified as being the body of Victora Bell." Victoria's two best friends were sat in the row in front of Peter as they both started sobbing over the news. "Everyone should keep everyone updated about their whereabouts" advised the head. "It is believed that the attack was some sort of brutal revenge attack, so I wouldn't advise anyone going out alone." Said the head teacher. Some guy at the front made a horrible joke. "Maybe it was a werewolf" as his friends laughed with after then being sent out of the hall by another member of staff. "A memorial will happen here at the end of the week, to remember her and celebrate her life." Informed the head.

It was now the end of the school day for Peter, and he continued to walk home as normal he had a notification on some sort of class group chat, it was the video Victoria recorded on her phone yesterday whilst her friends held Lilly to the ground. "Shit" said Peter to himself as he continued to watch the footage. He then went off the video to then send messages on his phone to Roman. "What if it was, Lilly or Roman that killed her "thought Peter to himself. "No, they wouldn't "he thought to himself, even though Roman had threatened Victoria recently.

Roman and Lilly were now sat downstairs laughing with Shelly and then Roman turned his interest back to Lilly and he kissed her on the cheek. Shelly typed into her device. "So, are you too together now?" as she smiled. "We are indeed" said Roman holding Lillys hand, when he then noticed he had received a message on his phone, from Peter. It read "Hey Roman, the body has been identified as Victora's." Roman put down his phone and put his face to his hands. "God" he said. "What's up?" asked Lilly as she wrapped her hands around him. Roman raised his head and showed Lilly the message on his phone. "Oh shit," said Lilly in shock. "At least she'll never harass me again" she said. "True" said Roman. "The Police will probably want to talk to us he" he said with annoyance. "Why" asked Lilly. "We we're probably the last people to see her alive apart from her two friends and surely they have told everyone by now what had happened" explained Roman with concern. "Oh shit, we could be suspects," said Lilly. "Relax babe we have each other as an alibi, the restaurant, your mum, my mother, and Shelly." He advised. Roman's right" replied Shelly's device as she was still sat in the front room with them both. "Everything is going to be fine, babe, ok" said Roman as he started leading Lilly to the door. "I'll walk you across the road, you should go spend time with your mum and sister" he advised.
