ALL IS NOT LOST CHAPTER 37

Back in Romans house, Shelly, Lilly, Roman and Oswald were sat in the living room as they waited for Peter's arrival back, but something was wrong. "Stay here" said Roman as he stepped outside of his house with a flashlight and investigated the trees to find Peter dead on the floor. "Peter, oh god" he sobbed as Peter was now back in human form and he had bite marks all over his skin. Roman picked up Peter and carried him into the house. "Peter!" cried Lilly as she reacted to Roman carrying his lifeless body into the house and he put him down made a phone call to price whilst Lilly and Shelly sat sobbing on the sofa. Lilly held Oswald tight in her arms as Roman got off the phone to Price. "He is on his way" explained Roman as he sat next to Lilly and put his arm around her. "Shelly you're going to go with Price when he gets here." Explained Roman. "Why?" asked Shelly as she looked at Lilly. "I think that is for the best" agreed Lilly as Roman nodded. "Shelly you're not safe with us, Lilly's dad is still out there somewhere." Explained Roman as he sat beside her and gave her a hug.

Price had now arrived at the house to collect Peters body. "What happened this time?" asked Price. "Lilly's father killed him" explained Roman as he stood up with Shelly and guided her too the van. "I love you sis, this isn't permanent" Roman said as he kissed her forehead and helped her into the van and he shut the door as he walked back into the house where Price, Lilly and Oswald were. "Do you have what we spoke about?" asked Roman as Price nodded as he gave him an envelope as he then walked out of the door and he got into his van and drove back to the Godfrey Industries to dispose of the body informing his mother on the way.

Lilly and Oswald were sitting on the sofa. "What's in there?" asked Lilly addressing the envelop that Roman held in his hands. "It's some money price owes me from work" explained Roman as he sat besides Lilly and kissed her. "I love you, Lilly" he said as their lips parted. "I want to spend the rest of my life with you, and I want to keep you safe." He said as he smiled at Lilly as she continued to listen to his words. "I was thinking we take this money and get away for a bit" Lilly hugged Roman and smiled. "That sound's like a perfect idea." Said Lilly as she kissed Roman, and he kissed her back. "Hopefully, by the time we come back your father would have left town" Said Roman as he stroked Lilly's hair, "Me you and Oswald" spoke Roman.

Lilly, Roman and Oswald were now upstairs. Roman sat on the bed having a cigarette, Lilly was packing the suitcases and Oswald was in his car seat already to go. "Do we have everything?" asked Lilly as Roman smiled. "I don't know but as long as I have you both, I'm good." He replied as Lilly looked back at him and smiled as she began to unzip the suitcase as Roman put out his cigarette and carried a suitcase downstairs which consisted of their clothing. Lilly carried Oswald down in the car seat, whilst Roman now stood at the fridge taking out some bags of blood, he took from the blood bank and placed them into a bag as Lilly started taking the suitcase out to the car.

Roman, Lilly gazed up into the house as Lilly picked up Oswald in his car seat as she started heading towards the car as Roman turned off the lights and locked the door. He unlocked his car and placed the suitcase in the boot whilst Lilly was fastening Oswald into the car. Roman and Lilly then opened their doors and got into the car as they then put on their seat belts as Roman then turned the key in the ignition to switch on the engine. "Are you ready?" said Roman as he looked over to Lilly. " Yes" replied Lilly as Roman selected first gear and found the biting point in the car and then took off the parking break as then the car started to move forwards as Roman the indicated and turned into the road and the red convertible drove off into the distance leaving Hemlock Grove.
