QUESTIONING CHAPTER 13

Lilly lay on her bed sleeping as she was alerted from her sleep awoken by some loud voices and clattering outside of her cell. She sat up and wonder what was going on when she gazed up at looking at the sunlight shining through then the window when suddenly the door burst open. "Huh, what's happening?" Said Lilly in a half-asleep voice. It had appeared that someone had come in early to take Lilly's statement before Romans was due to start at 6:00am. "What time is it?" asked Lilly as she was handcuffed by two guards, who had entered her cell. "It's five o'clock in the morning and your wanted for questioning now." They said.

Lillys Interview

They soon entered a small box room that had two tables a tape recorder and a big plastic window which she couldn't see or hear out of but the people on the other side of the window could hear and see her. Lilly was placed on to one of the chairs still hand cuffed as one of the guards left the room and one remained in the room and the interviewer walked in. He was wearing a brown suit with a black tie and a white shirt. He turned on the tape recorder. "This is an interview commencing at 5:32am with Miss Lilly Rose. What would you like me to call you during this interview" asked the interviewer. "Lilly, I didn't do it." She spoke. "Do what Lilly?" asked the interviewer. Lilly spat her words with frustration "I did not kill Victoria". The interviewer lent forwards. "Tell me about your relationship with Victoria" asked the interviewer. "I barely knew her as it was my first day, but from the moment she saw me she continued to bully me" said Lilly with upset. The interviewer then turned around his laptop to show the footage of Lilly being held to the ground. "Please stop! I don't want to see that," pleaded Lilly. "Hears my theory, Victoria bullied you, so you followed her home and killed her in a revenge plot." Said the interviewer. "No that's not what happened. The inspector looked Lilly in the eye. "Can you tell me where you were during the hours of 6pm to 12am then?" Lilly took a deep breath, and she wiped away the tears that had fallen from her cheeks. "I was with my boyfriend all night explained Lilly, we drove to this fancy restaurant on the retail park on the other side of town then we went to my house and then I stayed at his house all night and then I went back home to my house and that's when the Police turned up. I'm innocent she said as the interviewer spoke again. "This is interviewing concluding at 6:00am. Lilly was silent as she was led back to her cell.

Romans Interview

Roman was already in the waiting area waiting to be seen by the interviewer as he heard cries that appeared to be coming from Lilly as she was taken back to her cell. Roman could hear her shouting "I'm innocent." The interviewer then approached Roman. "Mr Godfrey would you like to clear out your pockets and come through." He spoke. Roman was now sat in the exact same seat as Lilly was sat like five minutes ago. The interviewer pressed the button again on the tape recorder. "This is an interview commencing at 6:10am with Mr Roman Godfrey. What would you like me to call you during this interview" asked the interviewer. "Roman, she didn't do it." he spoke. "Do what Roman?" asked the interviewer. Roman spoke with frustration "She did not kill Victoria and neither did I". The interviewer lent forwards. "Tell me about your relationship with Victoria" asked the interviewer. "We used to be, sort of close when I say close, I don't mean as in friends as such" Explained Roman. "Then what do you mean" asked the interviewer. "We we're fuck buddies we would pay each other to have sex when ever one of us wanted it. No strings attached but I recently kept rejecting her as it was no longer what I wanted. She didn't like that" said Roman. "I see, said the interviewer. "Then I met the most beautiful girl on this planet and Victoria didn't like that either, she was Jealous she couldn't stand me being happy" expressed Roman. "Who's your girlfriend?" asked the interviewer. "Lilly, Victoria really gave her a hard time." Explained Roman.

The interviewer then turned around his laptop to show the footage of Lilly being held to the ground. "Please stop! I don't want to see that," demanded Roman. The interview had information from a pervious witness who had put in a word against Roman. "I have two witnesses who heard you say, "If you come near us again, you'll regret it!" he said. Roman lent forwards "I would never physically hurt Victoria; I just wanted her to leave Lilly alone" explained Roman. "Hears my theory, Victoria bullied Lilly, she followed her home and killed her in a revenge plot." Said the interviewer. "No that's not what happened." Said Roman, she was with me . The interviewer looked Roman in the eye. "Can you tell me where you were during the hours of 6pm to 12am then?" Roman then taped his fingertips on the desk and took a deep breath. "I was with Lilly all night" explained Roman. "I drove me and Lilly to the fancy restaurant on the retail park on the other side of town then we went to her house to see her mother and then she stayed at my house all night. Lilly is innocent" he said as the interviewer spoke again. "This is interviewing concluding at 7:35am." Then interviewer then stopped the recording. "Thankyou, for your honestly Roman" said the interviewer as the two of them left the Room.

Roman sat back in the waiting area as the interviewer went and spoke to the two people behind the desk as this was happening a guard walked by whistling to wards Lilly's cell. He tapped the door and there was no response. He opened the door to find Lilly sleeping deeply. He shook her calling "Miss Rose, Miss Rose, wake up." Lilly opened her eyes realising that the guard still had his hands on her. "Get off me," said Lilly. "Relax" said the guard. "We are releasing you due to you having an alibi" explained the guard as she jumped off the bed with joy. The guard lead her out of the cell towards the desk. Lilly hadn't even notice Roman waiting for her in the waiting area. "Here are your belongings" said the lady behind the desk. "You can change in there" she said pointing to a staff toilet. She went to the toilet to change and came back out placing the worn orange jumpsuit into the laundry bin. Lilly was wearing the same outfit she wore two days ago as it was the outfit, she got arrested in.

She walked towards the desk when she finally noticed Roman sitting waiting for her. He was now stood up waiting by the door "Roman" she gasped as she placed her arms around him. Roman placed his hands on her hips. "I missed you so much" he said as he lent forwards and kissed her. The two then parted lips and held hands and left the Police station.
