DROPS OF BLOOD CHAPTER 17

Peter showed Lilly the way to Roman's office. "I'm going to go and wait downstairs" said Peter as he began to walk towards the lift. "Why said Lilly as she walked towards him "When I spoke to him earlier, he was in a foul mood with me to, I think you're the only one that can calm him down" said Peter as he pressed the button and walked into the lift, leaving Lilly standing outside of Roman's office.

It took Lilly a couple of minutes to gain the courage to knock on his door. It was the anxiety you get when you are late for class, and you must knock on the door knowing you'll be in trouble. "Hopefully Roman, will be okay with me thought Lilly" as she read the name plack on the door that said "Mr R Godfrey" Lilly took a breath and finally knocked the door. "Come in" said the voice that was inside who turned out to be Romans.

Usually whenever Lilly would see Roman for the first time, he'd be off his feet to greet her but this time he didn't. As Lilly entered Roman was sat behind his desk, drinking a coffee, and doing some of his paperwork that sat on his desk. His skin looked much paler than normal, and he was wearing a black suit along with a black tie. Lilly thought that he really didn't look himself as she began to look around the office as Roman continued with his work.

The office was very big one side of the room was his desk, and the other side was a couch and a tv and one wall was just of a big glass window, a lot of sunlight entered the room. Lilly looked out of the window realising how high up she was as she moved away from the window and walked towards Roman's desk and tapped her fingers on the desk. "Lilly, I'm working" he said in a harsher tone. "It's nice to see you to" Lilly said in a sarcastic tone. Roman clenched his fist and took a breath. "I just said I am working!" he said in a heavier tone. "But I missed you" said Lilly in response hopes that Roman would stand up and hug her, but instead he looked up again with annoyance. "What are you doing here?" he asked with confusion. "Peter brought me here, he said, I needed to see you as you weren't in a good way" replied Lilly.

Roman noticed that she was still wearing the white lab jacket she was told to wear earlier by Peter. "How, did you get in" asked Roman as he finally stopped his writing and paid his attention to Lilly. "Me and Peter found an open window at the back of the building and there was a big dumpster there with a lid, so Peter gave me a boost up and I grabbed his hand and we both climbed in through the window." said Lilly as Roman stood up and started walking around his desk towards Lilly. "Why are you wearing this?" as he grabbed the white jacket from her shoulders pulling it off. "Peter said I had to wear it, so we'd blend in, so we wouldn't get caught" she explained as Roman hung the lab coat on the hook behind the door as Lilly continued to speak. "We then made it to the lift and then we got caught, by a man then phoned the manager." Roman then looked at Lilly with annoyance "You don't have to do anything he says! do you realise how much trouble you would have been in if I didn't know you were the intruders." Explained Roman as Lilly started to cry, as she realised that he was the manager and he tried sending her away. "Listen to me, of course, you were going to get caught if you didn't have a badge. I'll get you one ok and you can come see me whenever you like even if I'm working your welcome to sit in here and watch tv" Roman explained as he pulled Lilly into his chest, and he lead her to the couch. "Where have you been?" asked Lilly as they sat down. "I've had a lot happen, my mums been a bitch and I'm supposed to be Stepping up as the boss now as our previous one has been deceased. I just haven't had the time for school, I have so much to do" explained Roman as he lent in to kiss her on the lips, but Lilly turned her face, so the kiss landed on her cheek. "Babe what's wrong?" asked Roman. "What happened to your mum's neck and tongue? And where's Shelly" asked Lilly. Roman took a breath as he was beginning to get frustrated with all the questions Lilly was asking him "Shelly isn't well she tried killing herself this morning, she downstairs, which is why I wasn't able to drive you to school this morning, I'm sorry" said Roman as he lent in to kiss Lilly again. "It's fine" said Lilly as he continued to kiss her. He pushed her down on to the couch as he sat on top of her. "Roman, I'm not in the mood" said Lilly as Roman had already started unbuttoning his shirt. "Shut up!" said Roman as he continued to kiss her lips as he moved down to her neck as he could feel the human blood running through her body. He began sucking and biting her neck to a point where he even made it bleed. "I love you" said Roman as he looked at Lilly who was looking at him in the eye not seemingly enjoying what was happening. "We don't have to if you don't want to" he implied as he began doing the buttons up on his shirt and he wiped the blood from Lillys neck with his finger and started licking them as Lilly watched him weirdly. "I want to but not right now" said Lilly as Roman sat up on the couch helping Lilly as she held her neck in pain. "Ow Roman, did you give me a hickey." She asked with a laugh. "Maybe" said Roman as he stroked Lillys face. "I have to mark my territory now don't I" he laughed with a grin.

Roman stood up, he tucked his trousers back in and put on his blazer leaving the tie on the couch, as he went back to his desk to continue his work. Lilly sat watching television as she lay down on the couch holding her neck. Roman could still taste Lilly's blood in his mouth as he licked his lips and looked across to Lilly who had now fallen asleep. He grabbed a blanket from a cupboard behind his desk and he put the blanket over Lilly and left his office as he couldn't help but think "Did I just try killing my girlfriend" he thought as he walked down the corridor door."Good afternoon" said a worker walking by pushing a medical trolley."Afternoon Mr Godfrey" said another worker passing who seemed to be in a hurry. Roman then headed towards the lift as he pushed the button to call the lift a female voice spoke. It was another worker. "Afternoon Mr Godfrey" as they both entered the lift. Roman then pressed the floor 0 button he could smell the scent of the human standing next to him.

He could hear the workers heart rate and he could feel the blood flowing around her body. He licked his lips think "Must resist temptation" he said to himself as the worker next to him heard him. "What did you say, Mr Godfrey" Roman looked at her and said "Fuck it" as he pushed the worker against the wall of the lift covering her mouth to muffle her screams whilst biting into the flesh on her neck as he sucked out all the blood until the corpse dropped to the ground leaving Roman slithered in blood.

Luckily when the lift open Mr Price was there as the doors opened. "Price, dispose of this before anyone sees it" he said as Price noticed the blood around Roman's face and the corps on the floor along with all the blood splattered on to Roman's shirt and on the walls of the lift. "Roman, you need to stop making a big mess, because I won't always be here, to clean it up for you" explained Mr Price. Roman just nodded as he stepped out of the lift. "Sorry! Now get this cleaned up!" ordered Roman. "I'm on it " said Price in a nervous way. "Quickly before any sees it!" Snapped Roman as he made his way down to the hall.

The workplace had some sort of system that if any of the workers mysteriously vanished or got killed on the premises, they would create some sort of story up and secretly send the corpses to a hidden facility. It was a security measure as some people who get to work onsite are found to be traitors or a spy trying to seal Prices work.

Roman walked into a room to find his sister Shelly, sitting in a hospital bed, who appeared to be asleep. There were a few cards on the bedside table saying get well soon and one of them was from Roman and one of them was from Price and the others were from some of the nurses that cared for her. Roman grabbed her hand and kissed it. "Hi sis" he said as she opened her eyes and smiled. "Roman, what happened?" she asked with confusion as she sat up and looked around her. "You tried, killing yourself" said Roman with a sadder tone. "I'm sorry Roman, I just hate the way I look" she said as a tear fell from her eye. "Price manged to bring you back" assured Roman. "Why?" asked Shelly with confusion. "I couldn't lose you, Shelly, I love you" said Roman as he lent over the bed to give Shelly a hug. "Shelly, I need to get back to work now" as he headed out of the room, leaving Shelly to go back to sleep and rest as he made his way back to the lift which was now being cleaned by a cleaner who just looked at him and the blood that remained on his shirt. The corpse was now gone but the smell of death still lingered and there were still drops of blood all over the floor. "I'll just take the stairs" he said to the cleaner, leaving the cleaner to finish cleaning the lift.
