It was just about to turn seven o'clock when an alarm beneath her pillow began to sound. Reaching for her phone the source of the sound, the girl named Lilly switched off her alarm and switched on her bedside lamp, to reveal the four walls of her new bedroom. There were five boxes sitting in the middle of the floor and her suitcase that was open full of clothes unpacked. Some items were already placed in some of the drawers, but the unpacking wasn't complete last night, due to the tiredness from the long journey from England to America.

Hanging on a hook behind the door was a pink dressing gown along with a brand-new smart clothing for Lilly to wear for her first day. Lilly slowly sat up and looked at the clothing that were hanging on the door and she groaned. Lilly looked at her clock beside her bed and suddenly got out of bed when she had realised it was already half past seven.

Apparently according to the information her mother, Emma got when moving Lilly schools. It was a letter about the school free bus service. The bus was due to leave the top of the hill at eight 'o'clock. Lilly remembered seeing the letter stuck to the fridge last night with an old magnet which was brought from a holiday in Pairs three years ago.

By seven-forty-five Lilly was already dressed. Gazing at herself brushing her long brown hair in the mirror and she admired herself before grabbing her grey cardigan and running downstairs and heading towards the door. It was now clear that Lilly was in a hurry as she reached for the door handle whilst grabbing her coat and her backpack. Before leaving her mother Emma asked "No breakfast this morning? Go on before you miss the bus."

Lilly looked at her phone and realised she had ten minutes until the bus was due to depart from the hill. Walking down the path she looked at the house opposite and wondered to herself, "I wonder who lives their?" Parked outside the house was a red convertible car that was shinnying from the sunlight. It was a Jaguar. Lilly then caught sight of the bus and she started running as she saw it emerge at the top of the hill. When she got on the bus she sat four seats from the front and placed her ear pods into her ears and listened to some music whilst it began to rain. She could see drops of rain landing on to the window and she watched them drizzle down the window.
