ROMAN CHAPTER 7

Roman sat in the far right of the room as others started to enter the room along with Peter who had the urge to sit next to Roman despite what had happened earlier that day. He sat. What do you want?" exclaimed Roman. Peter swallowed with nerves as he thought about how he was supposed to tell him about what had happened in art class with Lilly and Victoria. "Roman, it's Lilly?" said Peter with concern. "What about her?" asked Roman as he was curious. "I was in art class with her and Victora." Said Peter. "What has that bitch done now!" as he thuds his fist on to the table. "Mr Godfrey" said the teacher in anger. "Do you need to leave the class" he said with stronger authority. "No sir "said Roman.

The teacher then turned back towards his desk as he was sat down whilst the class was copying some information from the board. "What happened? "Muttered Roman in a quieter voice. Peter looked at Roman and put down his pencil. "Lilly left class early she didn't come back."Roman lent back on his chair and folded his arms. "Oh god, why" he asked. Peter looked at the clock then looked at Roman with a pause. "Victora really wasn't nice to her, and she ruined Lilly's artwork." Roman stood with anger. "What! "He shouted. The teacher had had enough and stood and spoke. "Godfrey leave." Roman fetched his belongings and left the classroom with fury slamming the door behind him.

He decided he wasn't going to wait outside like he was supposed to; instead, he decided to go to the library. In the library he stood looking at the fiction section to select a book to read to kill time, whilst he was waiting for Lilly to come out of her lesson. He selected a book and pulled it out of the bookshelf. The book was a book called "The curious dog incident in the nighttime." On the front cover it had a picture of what looked like a dog that was dead with a garden fork in the middle of it. He slowly walked past the other shelves of different genres of books including science-fiction books. Whilst he flicked though the floods of pages.

He found the seating area and sat, and he opened the book and began to read when his eyesight then caught sight of something different. Over on the other side of the library sat on some different chairs was Lilly looking rather gloom. Roman could see that she had her ear pods in, and she was reading Mice of men from the class this morning. Her eyes were looking down at the book, so she didn't see that Roman was there. Roman stood up whilst closing the book in his hands, he headed to walk towards Lilly as she still seemed unaware of his presence. Roman could smell some sort of perfume on her. She still sat reading her book looking with her eyes that were still read underneath from the tears she shed. Her hair was now tied in a ponytail, and she seemed to be moving her foot in rhythm to the music she was listening to. Roman sat beside her "Hey, you okay" he said as he then put his arm around her whilst she put down her book and took out her ear pods. Lilly remained silent. "You do know you can tell me anything" Roman said as he began stroking her hair with his other hand." Lilly replied, "You barely know me though, we only met this morning." Roman then took hold of both of Lilly's hands in her lap and looked into her eyes. "I really care about you ok" as he smiled. "Why me?" said Lilly with curiosity. "You seem like a nice girl "Roman said in confidence. Lilly smiled and gave Roman a hug as a gesture of thankyou and tears began to fall from her eyes once again "Victora wouldn't leave me alone "she cried as she continued to hold Roman by his waist. "She said some hurtful things and ruined my artwork." She muttered with sadness. Roman looked down at Lilly who still had her arms around him. "Why didn't you message, or call me? "Said Roman as Lilly let go and placed her hands beside her. "I didn't want to disturb you in your lesson." Explained Lilly. "Roman took a breath and looked Lilly in the eye. "Next time you call me, ok?" demanded Roman as his nose started bleeding. Without hesitation Lilly said, "Ok I will call you." as she then noticed the blood leaking from Roman's nose. Lilly reached into her pocket to grab a tissue. "Er...m Roman your nose is bleeding." Informed Lilly as she handed over the tissue. "Fuck!" belted Roman as he stormed off to the toilets leaving Lilly by herself. "Roman "called Lilly as she chased after him. Lilly could see he had entered the boys' toilets as she watched the door from a distance swing forwards and back.

Roman stood watching himself in the mirror. He could hear one of the taps at the end of the row of sinks dripping and one of the lights were flickering like it was about to run out of light. Roman then turned on the tap and splashed some chilly water onto his face clearing away the blood that had remained under his nose. He placed his hands on his face and looked at his reflection in the mirror as he rubbed his palms down his face. "Get it together Godfrey, she's just a girl" he then placed his hands onto the mirror. "You mustn't control her; she is something else." He said to himself. He continued to look himself, in the eye but he was then disrupted by the school bell that indicated the end of the day. He took his phone out of his pocket to discover that he had two missed calls and one message saying, "I'll meet you by your car." Roman sent a love heart emoji in response to Lillys text and then locked his phone and then placed it in his pocket as he headed towards his car, which was parked in the carpark at the front of the school.

Lilly stood by Romans red car admiring the colour and the fact that there wasn't even a scratch on it the paint work was perfect. It was a Jaguar Roadster car. The rims were white and silver and the entire car in general was beautiful thought Lilly.  As she stood by the front of the car leaning up against it see saw her school bus drive past her as she then noticed the doors that entered the building opened but it wasn't yet Roman. It was Victoria and two of her friends. "Oi you!" Said Victoria as she approached Lilly. "What are you doing, next to Roman's car" she asked with confusion as she drew closer to her. "Roman is dropping me home" replied Lilly as she took out her phone, remembering what Roman had said before he ran off to the toilet. "Is he now?" Laughed Victoria and her friends. "Yes" said Lilly as she began typing a message to Roman, looking down at her phone and unaware of Victora and her friends getting closer. Victoria wacked her phone out of her hand a pushed her to the ground. "Get off, of me!" cried Lilly in pain as Victora's friend held her to the ground as Victoria began filming on her phone. "Look everybody here's new girl Lilly thinking she's getting anywhere with Roman." Laughed Victora as tears fell from Lillys face. She tried reaching for her phone but one of Victoria's friends kicked it out of her reach. "I think you missed your bus" said Victora as her and her friends burst into laughter.  More and more tears shed as Lillys face was held against the concrete, she felt powerless and upset. "Let me go!" sobbed Lilly as she tried to escape the girl's clutches. Victoria knelt by Lilly "Do you honestly think he'll go near a freak like you." Victora said. Just then an angry aggressive voice was heard from behind Victora as her friends continued to hold Lilly to the ground. "Get your, fucking hands off her, now!" demanded Roman. The girls moved back towards Victora as Lilly sat up slowly coughing and lent against the car covered in cuts from the gravel. Both of her knees were cut, and bleeding and her phone was shattered. Lilly was silent, distressed and upset. "Are you really, taking her home?" asked Victora with laughter as she laughed with her friends. "You think this is funny" questioned Roman. Victora said nothing. Roman looked at Victora and her friends with annoyance. "You will go away and never come near me, or Lilly again or else your life will regret it! Do you understand" threatened Roman. Lilly could not believe what was happening, she felt shocked that she had Roman standing up for her no one ever stood up for her before like that. It then appeared very strange the girls just walked away as if they had forgotten about what he just happened. It was like they had just stepped into some sort of trans. Roman watched the girls walk away whilst this time noticed the blood leaking from his nose and wiped it away, straight away before turning back to Lilly, who wouldn't notice it as he didn't want Lilly yet to discover that he could mind control people and he knew in his heart that he didn't want to control or hurt Lilly he wanted to protect her.
