Sunghoon swung his bedroom door open, followed by Jeena—his room neighbor who stepped out from her zone. They exchanged puzzled looks.
Mr. and Mrs. Park just called them both to gather in the living room. There was something they wanted to discuss.
"Alright, you two are here, so let's talk about something for the both of you," Mom started the family conversation.
"You're making me nervous, Mom, what's up?" Sunghoon asked, his face slightly tense.
"Uhm— it's not a big deal, but kinda important too," Dad replied.
"So, you two have been getting along, right?"
"Of course, aunty,"
"Yeah, we're all good,"
"Alright, so, since we know you both are okay and looking out for each other, and Sunghoon hasn't been feeling lonely at home since Jeena's been here, we've decided to leave you two at home for a while,"
"Leave us for a while? What do you mean?"
"Me and your Dad are going on vacation to Europe,"
"What?! Just the two of you?" Sunghoon exclaimed.
"Yes, just us. Since our wedding anniversary is in a few days, so we want to celebrate it just the two of us, no interruptions."
"Plus, we've been planning this for a while, but your mom was worried you'd be lonely if you were alone at home. But now that Jeena's here, you won't be lonely," Dad reassured his only son.
"For me it's not a problem, I'm actually very happy for both of you. So, enjoy your Euro trip Aunty and Uncle Park. I'm looking forward to hearing your interesting stories when you're there," said Jeena, happy to hear the holiday plans of the people she considered family.
"How long will you be in Europe?" Sunghoon asked.
"One week."
"Alright, enjoy your anniversary, mom, dad. I'm also happy for both of you,"
"Thank you, my son, and thank you, Jeena sweetheart. Since it's just the two of you at home, we've already set some rules."
"Ugh, I was planning to throw a party at home while mom and dad are on vacation. I was going to invite all the students from school to come over," Sunghoon said confidently.
"Rule number 1, no party. Especially not inviting all the students from school to our house," Dad said.
Meanwhile, Jeena just glanced at Sunghoon with a amused laugh.
"Lock all the doors. Because we don't want anything bad to happen in this house," Mom continued.
"Okay..."
"We still allow your friends—which is ENHYPEN—to hang out here or even stay over. I only trust them." Dad said.
