The hallway was eerily silent, dimly lit by weak overhead lights that cast flickering shadows on the walls. But that silence was soon torn apart by voices brimming with raw emotion.
Jungwon stood with his jaw clenched, his eyes burning with a fury he had never shown before. His breaths were uneven, his body rigid as he fought to keep himself from exploding.
"Fuck you! Do you even realize what you just did!?" His voice was sharp, almost a snarl.
Across from him, Sunoo stood with a conflicted expression-somewhere between guilt and defiance.
"I wasn't trying to—"
"BULLSHIT!!" Jungwon cut him off, his voice laced with venom. "You knew exactly what I had planned for tonight. You knew how much this meant to me!"
Sunoo's fists tightened at his sides. "I couldn't keep holding back!" His voice wavered, but his frustration was clear. "Do you think this is easy for me? Just standing there, pretending I don't care? I've had enough!"
Jungwon let out a cold, bitter laugh as he took another step forward. "Oh, so your solution was to steal my moment!?" His gaze was piercing, drilling into Sunoo's. "Did it feel good? Seeing her smile at you? Watching how she looked at you?"
"That wasn't my intention!" Sunoo's voice was desperate, but Jungwon wasn't backing down.
"Then what the hell was it!?" His voice grew rougher, more dangerous. "Don't act like you didn't know exactly what you were doing. Don't act like you didn't know this would destroy me."
Silence.
Then, a deep, shaky breath.
Sunoo lifted his head, his eyes dark with exhaustion.
"I'm tired of always being behind you."
And that-those few words-were enough to break the last thread of restraint Jungwon had left.
Without warning, his fist collided with Sunoo's cheek, the force sending him stumbling back until he hit the cold, hard wall with a loud thud.
Sunoo winced, reaching up to touch the corner of his mouth-blood. He turned his head back toward Jungwon, and this time, his eyes were darker. Sharper.
"You think I won't fight back?"

In a flash, Sunoo lunged forward, grabbing Jungwon's collar and driving a punch straight into his stomach.
Jungwon grunted in pain, but before Sunoo could retreat, he retaliated— his fist connecting with Sunoo's jaw, forcing his head to the side with the sheer impact.
