Jeena slowly opened her eyes. The room she was in felt silent, with only the sound of birds chirping outside. She took a deep breath, her eyes heavy and slightly sore—the remnants of last night's tears.

The decision had finally been spoken, and now, she had to face the reality that her days with her seven best friends here were numbered.

She sat up, brushing her messy hair back, then stepped out of the room quietly.

The house was still calm.

Jeena made her way to the kitchen, opened the fridge, and poured herself a glass of cold water. As she walked toward the living room, she stopped in her tracks when she saw someone already there.

Jay.

He was sitting on the floor, tidying up the living room that was still in disarray from their long night together.

A faint smile crossed Jeena's lips as she walked closer.

"Morning," she said softly.

Jay turned around, looking slightly surprised, but then a small smile formed on his lips.

"Morning. You're up?"

"I don't think I really slept last night," she murmured, walking over and settling onto the couch.

Jay let out a small chuckle, though it sounded tired. "Same."

"Your eyes... they're swollen. Are you okay?" Jay asked gently, finally looking at her.

Jeena hesitated for a moment before nodding. "I'm fine."

Jay exhaled, then sat down on the couch, leaning his head back. "I know no one can be completely fine after last night."

Jeena smiled faintly. "What about you?"

Jay was quiet for a moment, then shrugged. "Same as everyone else. Still shocked, still struggling with it, but..." He turned to Jeena, offering a small smile. "I still respect your decision."

Jeena looked at him, her expression softening

Jeena looked at him, her expression softening.

"That's why... don't feel pressured, Jeena," Jay continued in a gentle voice. "Don't feel guilty."

Jeena bit her lip, trying to suppress the emotions rising in her chest.

Jay studied her face, then smiled. "Hey... wanna get some fresh air outside?"

Jeena hesitated for a second but then nodded.

They walked to the front porch, where a wooden swing hung between two white pillars. Jay sat down first, then patted the empty space beside him, signaling Jeena to join him.
