23- Love Square?

Y/N'S POV;

"Y/n, can I talk to you for a sec?"

I looked over at Jeha and he had already stood up from his seat. I nodded and stood up from my seat. In the corner of my eye, I saw Jina smirking with her arms crossed. I rolled my eyes and followed Jeha out.

We walked outdoors where it was less loud. "What did you want to talk about?" "Oh, I just wanted to ask if you were really down for that date since you know... Jina can be..." I let out a chuckle and let the breeze flow by. "Yeah, she can be." Jeha then turns and faces my side, hands in his pockets. "So... would you like to go on that date sometime?"

Would I? Should I? I didn't want to use Jeha as some distraction, that's cruel. Then again... it's not like I'm going to play with him or anything, it'll just be a friendly date. It'll be a one-time thing to touch the waters, I guess.

"Mmm, yeah, I'll go. One date wouldn't hurt," I say, giving him a soft smile. He smiles back and motions us to walk back inside. We turned around to head back inside, but Jake had just opened the door. "Y/n, can you spare me a second?" I looked at Jeha for a second and he nodded. "Yeah, sure."

Once Jeha headed back inside, Jake stood beside me, resting against the railings. "You're actually going on that date...with him?" "Jake, you already asked me that," I laughed, turning my body towards him. "I know... but, you know..." I raised my eyebrow and crossed my arms. "Know what, Jake...?"

Jake turns his body to face mine and he fixes his posture, looking straight at me. "Don't go." I shifted in my spot, taken aback from his words. "Did Jay ask you to watch out for me, because—" "No, just don't go," Jake repeated himself, this time taking a step closer to me.

Suddenly, the atmosphere felt a little different. "Why don't you want me to go?" I asked him, rather quietly. "Go out with me instead." My eyes that were looking down at my feet shot up and looked at him in shock. Jake clears his throat, looking away. "Hanging out, I mean. You and me."

"But I already agreed to go..." I mumbled, tangling my fingers together. "Then just tell him you're busy on the day he plans the date, simple." "But—" "No buts, you're hanging out with ME. Not with some stranger," Jake cuts me off before grabbing my wrist to drag me back inside.

"What took you two so long?" Jina asked with suspicion. "We were just talking, Jina," I replied before sitting beside her. "Okay..." Her response sounded like she didn't believe me. I saw Sunoo elbowing Jake, which I assume he was teasing him. I mentally shook my head.

"Guys, another friend of mine is coming," Sooha announced with excitement. "There she is! Cha Yewon! Over here!" Jina and I snapped our heads the moment we heard her name. And there she was, all dolled up as she headed over to our way.

"Heeseung!" She squeezed out in that high-pitched tone of hers. She immediately ran over and made room for herself to sit beside Heeseung. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at her. "You know him? He's Jina and Y/n's friend or something." Yewon brushed off Sooha's comment and was already occupied with bothering Heeseung.

He looks like he doesn't care but that wouldn't make sense. They were both clearly all over each other the other day. I guess he's treating her the same way he treated me. A toy.

"So have you and Jeha picked a day for the date yet!" Sunjae, another girl asked. How nosy. Jina and everyone looked at me with eager eyes. "Uh.." "Y/n is going on a date with Jeha? I thought she and Jake were having a thing," Yewon suddenly spoke up with that fake ass smile of hers. As much as I wanted to glare at her, I couldn't.

The friend group "oou-ed and "ahh-ed." "She and Jake are having a thing?" Sunoo asked with full curiosity. Before Jake and I could say anything, Yewon once again cut us off. "They were pretty close during Beomgyu's party, she even had his jacket on."

"They're childhood friends, of course they're close," Heeseung suddenly butted in. This caught me by surprise. Yewon just giggled Heeseung's comment off as he sat there drinking his wine. He confuses me a lot. One moment he acts like he has some sort of care for me but he will act so cold.

"So then Jake and Y/n aren't having a thing... So have you and Jeha picked a day for the date yet?" Sunjae asked again. Jake's words wandered in my head but I was unable to say anything. "Well—" "Y/n can't go."

I turned my head to Jake in panic. "Why can't she?" Jeha was the one to speak up this time. "She's busy," Jake simply replies, leaning back in his seat as he swirls the alcohol in his glass. Jeha cocked his eyebrow up. "Y/n, when are you busy? We can go when you're free." I opened my mouth to try to answer Jeha but once again, Jake cut me off.

"She's going to be busy hanging out with me." I swear my eyeballs were about to pop out of my eye sockets. Why is he suddenly being so— BOLD?!

"She doesn't have to hang out with you, it's not like you're her boyfriend or anything," Jeha counters Jake's comment. Jake sighed, sitting up straight. He was about to say something but Heeseung began to cough. "Sorry."

Not gonna lie I found that SHADY. I figured this was my time to leave since the tension between Jake and Jeha calmed down. "I'm going to get more drinks." "But there's more here—" "I want tequila," I cut Sooha off, giving her a fake smile.

I ordered a drink at the bar and decided to sit there for a bit. I found it weird how defensive Jake was about me. I am so sure Jay put him up for that task. Jeha seems pretty consistent to have that date with me too... Does he like me that much already?

"What are you thinking about?"

My ears picked up that familiar voice and decided to ignore him and not even look at him. "Look, about last time—" "It doesn't matter anymore, Heeseung. I expected too much. That was wrong of me, especially since we were just friends with benefits right?"

There was silence for a moment between the two of us. "Why are you even here? Isn't Yewon waiting for you?" I asked him, feeling petty. I honestly didn't care so much right now. "I wanted to see what you were up to." Then we made eye contact. I clicked my tongue in annoyance. "Why are you bored of Yewon already? Go find some other girl here to pick up, I'm sure plenty are interested in you."

"But I'm interested in you."

My hand that was busy swirling the tequila in my glass stopped. I let out a chuckle. "Tsk, Are you trying to fool me again, Lee Heeseung? Because it's not going to work. Not this time." Heeseung lets out a hum then smirks. "You still like me though and you're just going on that date to forget about me."

I scoffed. The audacity this man has?! "Whatever I do isn't any of your business, Heeseung." "Then you wouldn't care if I hooked up with someone tonight? Other than you?" He asks, clearly trying to provoke me.

I didn't even notice that I was gripping my glass tightly. "Do whatever the hell you want, Lee," I spat at him then left.
