HEESEUNG'S POV;
"Iseul, what the hell are you doing here?" I asked her, pushing her away angrily.
"Don't you miss me? I missed you, Seungie."
I knew she was trying to provoke me with her words, but for some reason it was hard to put them aside.
"Why? You're the one who left," I say, breaking eye contact with her. Iseul quickly grabbed my hands and shook her head. "I'm sorry, I-I had to! My family had problems... I'm sorry I didn't tell you."
My eyes averted back to her and I pulled my hands back. "Why didn't you tell me anything? You blocked me everywhere, Iseul." "I-It's complicated! I'm sorry, b-but I'm back now, hm?"
I scoffed under my breath, "Why did you even come back? You left me confused for YEARS, I don't even know if I should believe you right now." "No! Believe me! Don't you want me back? You were waiting for me, right?" She exclaimed, pleading.
I was silent for a moment, unsure of what to say. Was she right? Was I waiting for her all this time? I don't know. All I felt was anger and resentment.
"Heeseung?"
"I gotta go," I said with a shaky breath and walked away.
I tried to calm down as I approached my friend group and put on the fakest smile I could. "Heeseung! Where you been, man?" Jay asked me. My eyes followed Y/n's figure for a second before I focused them back on Jay. "Uh, grabbed a drink."
I sat back down next to Jay, my eyes never leaving Y/n's figure. She was chatting with Sunoo and Jake. I was never envious of Jake when I "had" Y/n, but now that I lost her, I wanted to be in Jake's place so badly.
I wanted to clear things out with her and talk things over, but she was always avoiding me. I was never able to pull her aside and talk privately, she was always with Jake or Sunghoon.
"Can you pass me the beef?" Y/n asked. I reached my arm out, but Jake did too. Everyone looked at the scene with an awkward stare. "Sorry," I quickly said out of embarrassment and pulled my hand back. I cursed under my breath, wanting to disappear. That was so embarrassing.
Y/N'S POV;
I quietly chew on my beef, trying to put whatever just happened in the back of my mind. "You good?" I heard Jake ask beside me. I turned my head to him and nodded, chewing on my food.
"Did you and Heeseung fight or something?"
My jaw stopped chewing on my food and I tried to minimize how big my eyes were widening. I quickly swallowed and laughed his question off. "What? No! Of course, we didn't. Why would we fight?"
Jake only raises his eyebrow and keeps his eyes on me. "It looks like you're trying to avoid him though." "No, no, we're good! I just uh... don't want to tick Jay off." Jake looks at me closely for one more second before letting me off the hook.
That wasn't the actual reason but it wasn't a lie. It's true that I didn't want to tick Jay off because I really don't. The fact that Heeseung and I saw each other behind his back and dated was a secret I NEEDED to keep.
It was awkward seeing my now ex-boyfriend after our break up not long ago, but what can I do when he's in the same friend group? I guess that's what Jina meant when she said it wasn't a good idea to start something up with Heeseung. Especially your brother's best friend...
"It's time to make s'mores!"
Everyone pulled their seats and gathered around the campfire. I sat next to Jina and Jake followed. I had my fingers crossed, hoping I wouldn't have to face Heeseung but unfortunately, fate had other plans for me.
