Y/N'S POV;

Flashbacks of the pool party made me groan in frustration. Heeseung confuses me. A lot. I know I'm not supposed to be thinking about him like this. Especially because he and Jay have already made up, but it isn't as easy as I thought.

I should be moving on and Heeseung should leave me alone, but there's always this tension between us. It's like there was an invisible string pulling us together no matter how hard I try to walk away.

"UGH, I HATE MY LIFE!"

"You better not be saying that because you're living in a big house, Park Y/n."

"Sorry, mom..." I mumbled then quietly screamed on the couch. "What are you so grouchy about, hun?" My mom asked as she sat down beside me. I sighed heavily and sat up straight. "Boys are stupid." My mom laughed, "Boy problems already?" "I guess..." "Who's this about?" My mom asks in a teasing tone. "Is it about our Jaeyun?" My mom smirked. "MOM!" "Whatttt? Was I right?" My mom asked with a big smile on her face. "What's going on here...?" Jay asked as he walked down the stairs.

"Y/n was telling me about her boy problems." My head snapped back at my mom. "MOM!" "Whattt? Your older brother can know. Tell me Jongseong, does Y/n like Jaeyun?" Jay raised his eyebrow, "What? No, she wou—" I looked at him weirdly when he cut himself off. "Y/n, don't tell me you like Jake," Jay asks me with suspicion laced in his voice. "WHAT?! I DON'T! Why doesn't anyone believe me!?" I stomped upstairs to my room and slammed my door shut.

"Y/n, can I have a word with you?" Jay suddenly barged through my door, making me jump. I took off my headphones and sat up. "Okay..." "You don't actually like Jake, do you?" I tilt my head to the side and stare at him with confusion. "What makes you say that?" "You see, I know you and Jake have a platonic relationship, but recently it doesn't seem like it. Especially at the pool party."

Right... the pool party...

"Uh... don't sweat it. It's nothing, promise." I answered, trying to reassure him. "Hmm... okay. I'm going out with Jake and Hoon later so behave at home." Jay said and left the room.

Jay left not so long ago. I was home alone and bored. Mom and Dad left earlier as well to attend a meeting so I'm left home alone. This gave me the perfect time to think about my life decisions though.

Coincidentally, a text notification popped up on my phone. This should solve my boredom problem for a bit.

JERK LEE

JERK LEE: hey y/n. i was wondering if we can talk?

ME: sure

JERK LEE: i was hoping we can meet up and talk?

ME: okay

JERK LEE: i'll let you know when i'm here

In less than 5 minutes, Heeseung texted me saying he arrived. I ran downstairs and hopped in the passenger seat of his car.

"Hey." Hearing his voice was nice. "Hi," I greeted, still feeling a bit awkward from our last encounter. It was silent after that, besides the R&B music playing on the radio. I didn't know where he was taking me, but a night drive felt relaxing.

I rolled the window down and let the breeze blow past me. Eventually, he parked his car in a secluded area at a high hill. There were pretty lights hung up to brighten the place a bit.

"So what did you want to talk about?" I asked to break the silence. "I wanted to talk about us." I turned my body to face him and let out a soft chuckle. "There's no "us," Heeseung. You made that clear." "That's why I want to make myself clear today."
