Y/N'S POV;
It was a Friday evening and I was over a Jina's. We had a LOT to catch up on. I sat on Jina's bed and waited for her to come back with some snacks.
"I brought the goods!" Jina busts in and shuts the door with her foot. "It is tea time girl, SPILL!" "Okay!" I giggled and folded my legs together.
I caught Jina up on practically everything, up to where Heeseung and I are dating now. I had lost count of the many times Jina had gasped and squealed.
"Girl. You're Lee Heeseung's girlfriend now, how do you feel?" Jina asks me with excitement written all over her face. "It feels unreal...and scary..." Jina looked at me with full confusion, "What do you mean scary? Did he do something, I swear–" I let out a chuckle and waved my hand no, "No, it's because of Jay." Jina lets out a quiet "oh."
"I'm more scared because Heeseung and Jay already made up the last time he found out about me and Heeseung." Jina nodded, attentively listening to me. I took in a deep breath and exhaled. "So, imagine how Jay would be when he finds out Heeseung and I are seeing each other behind his back, again."
"I'm sure Jay would understand," Jina says, trying to comfort me. I shook my head softly, "He won't Jina. Not this time." Jina looked at me with a small frown. "Do you know why he's like this?" I shrugged, "All I know is that he's protective of me, which I can understand, TO AN EXTENT."
Jina tapped her finger on her chin and hummed. "Has something happened in the past to make me overprotective of you?" I sat there and thought long and hard. "Well my first and last boyfriend cheated on me so maybe that's why?" Jina snapped her fingers and pointed at me. "Sounds right."
"But why do I feel like there's another reason? I got cheated on like 4 years ago..." "Maybe he holds onto grudges?" Jina suggested. "Sometimes... but I still feel like there's another reason."
"Well girl, I wish you luck because relationships with your sibling's best friend don't always end up well and–" "And they can ruin friendships, I know," I finished Jina's words off with a heavy sigh. "I just can't help it. I really, really like him." Jina pats my back and hands me a bag of chips. "Doritos?"

HEESEUNG'S POV;
"Get more drinks!" Jake yelled from across the room. I playfully rolled my eyes and grabbed a couple of cans from Sunghoon's fridge. I sat down on the carpet with the rest of the boys and opened the soda can.
"Glad we aren't at Heeseung's place with his broken AC," Jay joked. I let out a chuckle. Right, the "broken" AC. "I'll get it fixed in time for the next party, don't worry." Riki gave me a thumbs-up. "Who says you get to go, kid." "Hey! I'm an adult now," Riki refutes with a scowl. The older boys and I laughed.
"If you're gonna try to drink alcohol, do it in secret, and don't drink too much," Jay warns the younger boy. Riki let out a sinister laugh. "You won't catch me." Sunoo sighed and raised his hand. "I'll watch him."
"By the way, how'd your date go, Jay?" Jungwon asked the older one as everyone's eyes turned to Jay. "Ah right, about that..." Jay starts. We all looked at him with confusion and anticipation.
"She said we couldn't be together and left."
All our eyes widened while Jay's were relaxed and unfazed. "Jay..." "Nah, don't worry, I'm just confused, that's all." Jay sighs, resting his head on the cushion of the couch. "She didn't tell you why?" Sunoo asked with knitted eyebrows. Jay shook his head.
"I say we party!" Sunghoon says in an attempt to lift the mood up. We all exchanged a few looks. "What? It'll be fun, plus I'm sure we have nothing to do," Sunghoon says, trying to convince us.
"You aren't busy with your little boo thang?" Riki asks Sunghoon. I let out a quiet chuckle. "Actually, I'm planning to invite her to the next party," Sunghoon says with a sarcastic smile. "So when are you two gonna date?" Sunoo asks with a smirk. "I-I don't know, okay!" Sunghoon huffs, crossing his arms. I laughed at his silly behavior.
"I still stand by having a party next week," Sunghoon says. "Where will it be held though?" Jungwon says and sips his soda through a straw. Everyone looked at each other and all looked at me.
I stopped sipping my drink and stared back at them. "What..." They all looked at me with plead in their eye. "Seriously... what about Jake's place, or Sunghoon's?" I suggest, trying to change their mind. "You're the only one with huge space," Jake says and the rest of the boys nodded.
"My place isn't that big–" "Oh puhlease, it's pretty spacy alright," Sunoo cuts me off. I sighed, "Fine." "Woo! Party at Heeseung's next week," Jungwon cheers with a smug look on his face. I playfully rolled my eyes and finished my can of soda.
"We need more food," Jake mumbles on his pizza stuffed in his mouth. "There are more boxes in the kitchen," Sunghoon says and stands up. "I'll come with you," I say, following him to the kitchen.
"Here, one more box of pizza. I'll bring out the breadsticks," Sunghoon says and hands the pizza box to me. I set my phone down and brought the pizza out.
SUNGHOON'S POV;
I grabbed the box of breadsticks and was about to head back out but Heeseung's phone lit up. My eyes naturally went to the recent notification.
Y/n?
I didn't want to read the message since I respect personal privacy but before I could look away, I had already read the message.
Y/nnie: i miss you
Y/nnie: what are u and the boys doing?
My eyebrows knitted together in confusion. They're still talking to each other I suppose. Jay didn't say they couldn't be friends... but I smelly something fishy about this and I don't think this will end well.
I sighed and walked back into the living room. "What took you so long?" Heeseung turned back asking me. "Needed some water. You left your phone on the counter by the way." "Oh, thanks." Heeseung jogs to the kitchen to retrieve his phone.
After an hour, the boys left my house and bid goodbye. I pulled my phone out and dialed Y/n's number.
"Hey, you got a minute?" I asked her over the phone.
"Yeah, sure! What's up, Hoon?" Y/n replies from the other line.
"Are you and Heeseung still seeing each other?" There was silence on the other line. I pursed my lips, knowing the answer.
"Hoon... we—"
"You can tell me. I won't tell Jay, but you have to tell me what's going on, Y/n."
"We made up, I guess? And he says he likes me back so we're together now..."
"Do you trust him?"
"I think do... I know things have been crazy, but I want to believe him."
I let out a heavy sigh and ran my fingers through my hair. "You know you're gonna have to tell Jay somehow—"
"I know! I-I will... I don't know when... or how, but I will so please don't tell anyone, Hoon."
"You know I'm putting Jay's trust for me on the line right now," I half joked.
"I know, I know... thank you, Hoon."
It was quiet for a few seconds before she spoke up again.
"How did you find out?"
"Heeseung left his phone out and my eyes read your message before I could look away."
"Oh... I'll take care of this, don't worry okay?"
"Ah, you better. I'm gonna go insane if I have to keep lying to Jay."
"I'm sorry, Hoon..." I knew she had a frown on her face.
I let out a soft chuckle to lighten the mood. "Just... come clean, alright? That's always the best choice. Jay will have to understand eventually."
"Thanks, Hoonie. Love you."
"Mm, love you too. Bye."
Lord am I going to have to pray every night...
