Fire Burns with Fury {Bolin x OC}

The Grand Finale

 "I'm not wearing this thing." I point to the ugly costume that Tahno has placed in my hands, "You have to." He leans closer to my face.

"It's horrendous." I look at the large wolf-bat mask in my hands, "What if I just stand behind you two, while you wear the ugly costumes?"

"You're wearing it!" Tahno grabs the mask and pulls it over my helmet. I hold my hand out in front of my face, "I can barely see out of this thing!"

"You don't need to see. You'll only be wearing it for a minute." Tahno ties the cape around my neck as well.

"Did I ever tell you how much I despise you?" I swat his hands away from me.

"I think you've mentioned it a couple of times."

"Good. because I really do." I follow Tahno as we approach the arena, "Introducing the challengers, the Future Industries Fire Ferrets!" The announcer presents our opposing team.

I watch the spotlight move to their side of the arena. Bolin – the earthbender of their team – holds up an earth disk which his small rodent of a pet jumps through and the crowd cheers for the stupid presentation.

"And their opponents, the three-timed defending champions, the White Falls Wolfbats!" Tahno and Ming howl and raise their arms up, revealing the bat-winged cape. I stand still with my arms crossed while sparks and explosions set off behind us.

As soon as our little charade is up, I rip off the mask and cape and throw them into the water below.

I step up to the middle of the arena and stare down my opponents, "The champs and challengers face off at the center line and here we go!" The bell rings and I kick right into action. From beside me, I can see Tahno and Ming have as well.

"Tahno tries to clean the Avatar's clock with some dirty water boxing." I dodge a couple of fire blasts directed at Ming and move to fight with Bolin, "Ming shakes off Mako's attack and returns the favour." I flip forward and create a ring of fire to hit Bolin. He dodges and sends some earth disks at me. I easily dodge these, but I get hit directly in the side, one of them must have bounced off the outer edge of the arena, "Yuko gets fancy, but Bolin ricochets a disk off the ropes and says 'No, thank you, ma'am!"

I growl with rage and move out of the way of a fireball, "The waterbenders slug it out, looking evenly matched." Tahno forms a continuous stream of water.

I scoot over to him, "What are you doing? Trying to get us disqualified?"

"Tahno gets a little too worked up and unleashes a deluge on Bolin that would certainly elicit a foul." The announcer calls, but the centerline of the arena lights up and we are able to advance forward, "Or apparently not." He chokes.

"What's the big idea, ref? That was a hosing foul!" The Fire Ferrets' firebender – Mako – yells at the referee.

"And the Wolfbats advance despite Tahno exceeding the waterbending time limit. A questionable call by the officials." Ming lifts an earth disk from under Mako's feet, "Ming trips up Mako with another dirty trick!"

I kick a fireball at Bolin and he tries to block it, but the disk he holds breaks and he falls to the ground, "Yuko is the only member of the Wolfbats this evening who seems to be playing fair!"

"The Ferret brothers are backed up to zone three and the Wolfbats smell blood." Tahno freezes the water when Bolin moves back, making him slip. I take my opportunity even though Tahno clearly broke the rules and I blow Bolin out of the ring. The crowd boos, "Looks like Tahno snuck in an illegal icing move but once again there's no call." Tahno fights the Avatar while I move my attention to Mako. I kick my foot outwards and a large burst of flames comes out.
