I sleep peacefully knowing that we are finally going back home and I can hide away on Air Temple Island again. Maybe I'll even pick up my regular training regiment again.
I crack my shoulders as I walk down the ramp leading to the docks of Republic City. Chief of police, Lin Beifong is already there waiting for us.
When I catch up to Korra and Mako they are already in an argument, "I'm not neutral! The North invaded my home. The only reason I'm here is to get the Republic to send troops to help the South."
"Zhu Li's already scheduled a meeting for us with President Raiko tomorrow. We'll get them on board." Varrick comments.
"Whatever, I gotta go to work." Mako shrugs everyone off and walks away.
"I better go check on my factory." Asami trails off behind Mako.
"I'm going to find out about this peace march." Korra leaves.
"And I am dying for a pedicure." Varrick leaves with Zhu Li. Leaving Bolin, Pabu, and I alone.
"So, um, what should I be doing?" Bolin calls to the others.
"I don't know, Bolin. Figure something out." His brother replies without even looking back.
"What are you going to do?" Bolin looks at me. I look at the backs of the others as they walk away, "I don't know. It's not like I really can do anything."
Just when I'm about to walk away myself, Varrick turns back around and walks over to Bolin and I, draping his arms over our shoulders, "Say, kids, have you ever seen Republic City at night?"
"Sure, we live here." Bolin replies.
"Have you really seen it?" Varrick leans into his face.
"Y- no?"
Varrick chuckles, "That's what I thought. Come on." He pushes us along.
"Wait, I just want to go home." I protest.
"What would you want to do that for?" Varrick slaps my back, "You have nothing to do there anyway!"

Somehow one thing led to another and now I'm in a limousine wearing a tight dress on my way to the pro-bending arena.
"This is humiliating." I look at my body.
"I think you look great." Bolin grins.
"Thanks for the flattery, Bolin. But I don't want it."
The limousine stops moving and the door next to me is opened. I step out and lights start flashing. I hold my hands up to cover my face, "No photos!"
"Princess! Is it true that you've lost your bending!?"
"Princess Kazuko! Did you really abandon your family in the Fire Nation to become a pro-bender!?"
"What?" I spit, "No! I didn't 'abandon' anybody!"
"Then what would you call leaving your family without a word!?"
"I'm not answering these questions!"
A hand is placed on the small of my back, "Please, no more questions." Bolin says smoothly to the crowd of journalists as he guides me into the arena.
"You didn't need to do that. I had everything under control." I complain.
"Yes... 'Everything under control' by yelling at people."
