"Hello, brother."

"Brother!?" Bolin gapes.

"Brother..." Mako mutters, "Argh!" He slaps his hand on his face, "I knew I recognized you!"

"What are you talking about?" Asami questions.

Mako looks at me, "I saw your face all over the newspapers a few months ago. The runaway Fire Nation princess... Kazuko."

"Surprise," I say sarcastically.

"You're a princess!" Bolin points to me as his jaw drops to the floor, "Why didn't you tell me!?"

"Because I didn't tell anybody." I cock a brow, "We can deal with this later." I point to the destroyed fleet, "We have bigger issues to deal with right now."

"Yuko- I mean- Kazuko, is right." Korra stumbles, "We should get back to Gommu."

I walk over to Korra, "I can take him." Offering to help my brother. Korra looks between the two of us, "Oh- uh- sure." She removes her arm from around him and all his weight is placed on me.

We walk slowly behind the rest of the group, "How long have you known?" I ask, keeping my gaze forward.

"Known what?"

"That I was here. In Republic City."

"There are only so many classically trained firebenders with blue flames in this world."

"But how did you know about that?" I scowl at him.

"Some of the men in the fleet were listening to the pro-bending finals."

"Of course... Does Mother know?"

"No. I didn't tell her."

"Why? I thought you two loved telling secrets. Especially ones about me."

He sighs, "I didn't know about what was happening, okay?"

"Really!?" I scoff, "You never thought it was strange that I never went anywhere? Never left the palace? Actually... Of course, you didn't. You were too busy sucking up to Mother to notice."

"You're acting like a child, Kazu."

"Maybe because I am a child! I never had a childhood. Now, I finally get to have one... And let me guess, you want me to go home."

"I do. Mother is worried about you."

"Now she's worried about me! It's about time!"

"She never wanted to hurt you."

"Well then maybe she shouldn't have treated her own child like it was a bomb waiting to go off... Like I was a monster."

"They couldn't be sure-"

"I thought you said you knew nothing about this." I spit.

"Mother told me everything when you went missing. She wants to talk with you. I think you should go home."

"Talk to her? What? Has she finally learned I'm not going to lose my mind and turn out like Azula?"

"To put it simply. Yes."

"I'm never going back there. And if I do... I won't be going back alive."
