Isha's pov
Savi and I were at the Chavan house. Her whole family was emotional as we were going to leave for Pune. Her grandfather came with a murti of Ganpati Bappa.

"Savi, baara, isko hamesha apne paas leke chalna, yeh hamesha tumhara raksha karega."

His eyes were teary, hands a little shaky. Savi, also emotional, touched his feet and took the murti and toucher her head with it, then finally put it in her bag. She hugged him and her other family members.

Her badi aaji, Bhavani Chavan, came towards me: "Isha , maine shayad tumhe galat samjhaa tha. Main hamesha sochti thi, ki tum mere Savi ki kaan bhadti hoon, lekin aaj jab aapne Savi ke liye, apne naukri jaha choddi aur uske safety ke liye Pune jaane ke liye taiyar hogayi, toh samajh mein aaya, aap sach mein hamare poti ki bhalai chahati hai. Har kadam par uske saath dena chahati hai aap. Savi ki aai baba ab nahi hai, lekin ab mujhe pata hai, ki jab tak aap, Savi ki saath hai, tab tak hamare Savi ko kuch nahi hosakta hai."

While she was saying this, Savi and the other family members looked at us with tears in their eyes. I holded Bhavani's arms in mine.

"Jitna zaroori Savi ke liye main hoon, Bhavani ji, utna hi zaroori aap log bhi hai, aap logo ki saath ke zaroorat hai. Aap log dekhna, Savi ek din aap logo ko bohot proud feel karwaegi. Bas is hi tarah us par aur uske kaabiliyat par bharosa rakhiye. Aur main bhi aapse waada karti hoon, main Savi ko waha kuch nahi hone doongi, Savi bhi mere liye mere beti jaise hi hai. Toh aap log please tension mat lijiye. Aur apna khayal rakhna sab, warna Savi ko toh aap jaanti hi hai, padhai wadhai sab chodkar aapke paas aa jayegi." I laughed at the last sentence, while the others smiled to.

"Isha, Thank you, hamare Savi ka saath dene ke liye, yeh hamare liye sach mein bohot badi baat hai." Said her other grandmother, Ashwini Chavan.

"Aap log sab Thank you bohot zyada bolte hai nahi?"

They laughed hearing this. Savi, then bid everyone farewell and we left for the train station.

While I was driving the car, Savi seated on the front seat, asked:

"Ma'am, aap khush toh hai nah? Aapko kaise lagraha hai, itne saalon baat aap apne parivaar ke paas jaa rahi ho, aur ab toh aap apne bete ke paas bhi rehsakti ho. I know aap mere liye waha jaa rahi ho, but yeh sab bhi toh sach hai nah ma'am."

I slightly smiled, while focussing on the road.

"Khush toh hoon Savi, lekin haan parivaar main unhe maanti hoon, woh mujhe apna parivaar nahi maante Savi. Aur Ishu ke paas rehne ka khushi mujhe bhi hai, lekin mujhe pata hai, khush waha sirf Ishan hi hoga, aur koii nahi."

"Are you sure, ma'am?" Savi asked me, her tone slightly taunting. I sighed deep and answered coldly:

"Yes I am sure, waha main bas tumhare liye jaa rahi hoon aur college mein, mujhe proffesional rehne hai."

"Lekin ma'am, woh.."

"Savi, tu jaha se shuru hogayi nah, kaha tha Maine pehle...ek toh mujhe yeh tension hai, ki baaki sab ka kya reaction hoga aur jaha tum yeh sab bol rahi ho...yeh mat bhoolo interview hai tumhara, uske liye preparation karo tum." I scolded her.

Savi went quiet and turned her head to the window side, looking quietly outside. I sighed as I quickly took a look at her. I shaked my head.

The rest of the drive went on silently. We arrived at the train station, bought our tickets and took place in the train.

We were going to Pune. It was a new beginning for Savi and me both. For Savi, it was her first step to complete her dream to become an IAS officer. As I looked at her, there was hope in her eyes and confidence that she would do anything to accomplish her goals.
