Same day
Author's pov

Isha still sat on the bed, her fingers twiddling around each other, her leg shaking slightly as her mind searched for a solution to the problem she was now in. She had to think wisely and with a calm mind. But what would she do? She knew how dangerous Atharva was, she knew why he was doing this and she also knew that if he got a chance he surely would try to misbehave again. In his mind and heart now burned a fire of revenge, but Isha wouldn't let this fire burn herself and her loved ones, she would throw water on the fire and she would do it alone.

Shantanu came out of the bathroom. He had changed into a simple grey jogger pant and black shirt. He frowned as he saw Isha sitting like that on the bed. "Isha, Kya hua? Are you okay?' He asked, concern etched on his face.

Isha looked up at him and for a while got lost in his looks. His hair was wet, the clothes extremely different from what he wore everyday . She parted her lips a little as she looked at him. In these fraction of seconds, she hadn't noticed that he her heart beat had gone faster as she looked into his eyes and then to his lips. Why was he looking so good in these simple clothes? She asked herself.

Shantanu noticed the way she looked at him and controlled himself not to burst out in a laugh. After ages, he was experiencing adoration from his wife. His heart filled with warmth and love.

He crossed his arms and looked amusing at her. Noticing his movements, Isha blinked and looked  away, clearing her throat.

"H..haan, m..main theek hoon," she stuttered, feeling her heart beating in her head. What the hell, Isha, stop behaving like this.

Shantanu smiled and went to sit in front of her on the bed. At this point, Isha could smell the aroma of the soup Shantanu used while bathing. She took in a deep breath and looked up at him. He looked thoroughly into her eyes.

"Kya hua? Aisa kya dekh rahe ho?" Isha asked in a low voice.

"Woh toh mujhe tumse puchna chahiye, nahi?" Shantanu asked her back, in a teasing way.

Isha cleared her tone again and tried to find a way to change the topic.

"Uhm...m..mere paas jaha mere saariyan nahi hain, t..toh tum mujhe hotel drop kardo, main Wahi se freshen up ho kar college aa jaoongi," she finally said.

"Ofcourse not, tum kahi nahi jaa rahi ho, pair mein chot lagi hain you need to rest, aisi halaat mein tum college kaise jaa sakti ho?" Shantanu scolded her. Isha frowned.

"But phir main pehnungi kya? Shantanu I need to take a bath, tum kya kehrahe ho?"

"Toh tum mere kapde pehen lena," Shantanu blurted out and shrugged.

Isha gave him a "are you serious" expression. "Tum Pagal ho? Nahi matlab...soch ke toh bola karo, main tumhare kapde kaise pehen sakti hoon?" She asked, her eyes wide as she looked at him in disbelief.

"Arreh Isha...kapde kaise pehente hain woh bhi main hi batao kya? Yah phir...(goes closer to Isha's face)...dekhao?" Isha pushed him by his chest, making him sit again at his place. She glared at him as he caressed his chest and frowned. Clearing his throat, he said: "Aur waise bhi, mere kapde pehenna, saree pehenna se toh asaan hi hain." He shrugged and looked at her, trying to find out if she was convinced.

Isha didn't glare at him, instead looked down and frown, her expression changed into one of confusion.

"Isha...come on, abhi ke liye hain, baat mein, main college jaa kar, Savi se tumhare saariyan collect karloonga, okay?"

Isha looked up at him, his face having a genuine expression. She slightly nodded her head. "Yeh hui nah baat," Shantanu said excitedly, slightly standing up from the bed then sitting again.
