"Good evening." - bati ko kay Cass pagkapasok ko ng mansion. Sya kasi ang bumungad sa akin dahil medyo malalim na ang gabi.
I'm actually expecting Butler Joe to welcome me home, but it looks like Cass told them to rest.
Lumapit ako sa kanya sa couch at nilapag ang dala kong travel bag sa gilid saka ako yumuko para humalik sa kanya pero umiwas sya at tumayo bigla.
"Bakit ngayon ka lang umuwi? Nauna pa sayo yung mga expensive mong kabayo." - malamig na aniya.

"Are you high? Hindi ko birthday."
Ngumiti ako at naupo sa couch. Pinahinga ko ang katawan ko dahil may jet lag pa ako.
"I missed home, and Dad, of course. Sa next visit ko sumama ka." - pag iba ko sa topic.
Tinignan nya ako ng malalim kaya medyo kinabahan ako.

"Lara sent some to me. She thinks I'm really just your friend who needs news about you."
Her brow raised a bit. I smiled innocently at her, but she rolled her eyes.

Umiling ako. "Sya na nga lang nag aupdate sa akin tungkol sayo kapag malayo ka e tapos..."
"Fine, from now on, I'm always going to update you. Just stop messaging her."
My lips curve in a teasing smile. "Jealous, huh?"
"Not really. By the way, ang pogi..."
"Pogi ko?" - tinaas baba ko pa ang mga kilay ko.
"Ang pogi ng mga kabayo."
Nawala ang ngiti ko at napaubo nalang ako. Pahiya ako dun ah. Umayos ako ng upo at muling sumandal sa couch.
"Dad owned them. It's a French trotter. Do you want to go horseback riding with me? We have a wide lawn here. We can race."
She drew herself near me. "I'll think about it. Riding horses is dangerous for you."
Dinampot nya yung travel bag ko at inoffer ang kamay nya sa akin.
"Come, I'll walk you to your room. Nag dinner ka naman na di ba?"

Parang may mainit na humaplos sa puso ko. Ilang segundo akong nakatitig sa kanya bago ako kumilos. Tinanggap ko ang kamay nya at tumayo na ako.
"We can do trekking with the horse." - I'm still not letting go of this topic. It's a waste of money if we're not going to use them.
"I'll think about it." - final na sabi nya at lumakad na.
Sinabayan ko sya at hinawakan sa kamay. Kinuha ko na din yung travel bag ko na hawak nya at ako nalang ang nag dala paakyat.
