The Mirialan general and commander arrived shortly after General Kenobi left. Joseta and Rex had been eating a meal in silence when their shuttle landed. Rex looked to Joseta who was surprisingly quiet. She obviously was affected by all the carnage on the field since this was her first mission. Rex wished deep down that she didn't have to see what he saw on an almost daily basis. It was hard. Unforgettable. Painful.

"You're quiet today," Joseta said, shoving the last of the rations into her mouth, her oversized helmet propped up precariously on top of her head.

Rex raised a brow. "You're one to talk," he said, taking her wrapper from her to throw away in a nearby fire pit they placed to keep the soldiers warm. "I thought you were extra quiet. Are you alright?"

Tears formed in Joseta's brown eyes as she gazed at the ground. "I am so grieved." When she said the last word, her voice hitched and the tears fell down her face. But she did not cry. She wiped the tears from her cheeks, the liquid smearing the dirt on her face. "I will be fine."

"After this is all over, we can talk about it," Rex offered, placing a hand on her shoulder in comfort. He noted the generals and commanders gathering to talk in the distance. He needed to be there. He looked down at Joseta who still sat on the dusty ground, staring at a rock. "We are one step closer to victory," Rex said. "If this helps, fight in honor of the fallen."

Rex walked away to greet the generals, listening to their plan to take down the droid factory. He heard the plan, but his mind kept drifting to Joseta. He glanced her way multiple times to make sure she was alright. He knew the depth to the pain and the weight of grief. Finally, she stood up to help Kix and another medic with the injured.

Soon enough, the meeting was over and Rex made his way over to Joseta who seemed to be struggling with removing ammunition crates off of the new shuttles that kept arriving.

Joseta was backing out of the shuttle, down the ramp, when the crate was hit with a gust of wind, about to hurdle over Joset to flatten her. Rex, luckily, was right there, and placed a hand on the crate and an arm on her waist to stop her from stumbling back. "I got yoy, Pro'oz."

Joseta wouldn't meet his eyes. "Thanks."

Rex didn't know what he did wrong to make her not look at him. He let her finish bringing the crate down before clearing his throat. "We are creating a diversion for the padawans to infiltrate the factory," he said as they hefted another crate from the shuttle.

Joseta frowned, dusting her hands off. "Why do I have a bad feeling about this?"

Rex let out a dry laugh. "You're not the only one," he admitted, walking over to the next crate.

Joset pursed her lips, following him up the ramp again. "If we plan on pulling off the distraction on the bridge, that's what they are expecting," Joseta whispered as a few troopers jogged past them, armor clanking in unison. "And if they are expecting us, then they must have something planned. Waltzing in there doesn't seem like a good idea."
