Joseta shrugged her leather jacket over the top of her freshly pressed jumpsuit. It was back to the special forces uniform. She had gotten used to wearing two pieces instead of the one piece for missions. She couldn't wait to send in the paperwork to update her uniform to be her newly acquired armor. She was especially excited since she designed the new paint and Rex had added his touch.

Pulling her thick, dark hair into a low bun, Joseta shot finger guns at the mirror before sighing. Her bangs were out of place. She ran her hands through them over and over, trying to wrangle them into submission, but they had the will of iron today. She blew her bangs out of her eyes, clenching her jaw. It would have to do. No one would care. Even Rex had seen her in worse states than this.

As she exited her fresher, a bad feeling settled into her gut like thorns. She tried different things to remove the feeling, snacking on some crackers on her desk (though she didn't know how long they'd been there), drinking some water, praying, and even letting out a belting operatic note. Sometimes letting out stress helped, but something was still bothering her. Maybe it was the fish tacos. But something deep down told her something bad was going to happen. So she once again let up a prayer to the Maker, knowing she couldn't control what was going to happen. She could control how she would handle what was thrown at her.

She opened the door to her room to find not only Rex, but a few 501st clones. Echo, Fives, Brody, Kelpy, and Yorky.

"We just wanted to say goodbye," Rex said, letting her come into the hallway.

"And to blackmail you to come back," Fives said, his hands on his hips.

Echo punched him on the shoulder. "We decided against that, remember?"

The door slid shut behind Joseta as she rose a brow at the interesting medley of clones in front of her. "How close was it to being chosen?"

"It was the next choice, but we decided on begging," Yorky said, his cheeky grin on his face growing before he winked.

Brody's head snapped in his direction. "Wait, I thought we voted on brute force!"

Rex sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "You are all wrong. We are going to offer an invitation like normal people."

"But you're not normal, sir," Brodes said, crossing his arms. "You're the king of the clones."

"King of the clowns, more like," Kelpy grumbled, rolling his eyes.

Fives slapped Kelpy in the back of the head. "Shut it, Kelp-Monster, no one invited you." He slung his armor over Rex's shoulder as they all started walking down the hall. "And Captain Rex is who everyone aspires to be." His free hand made an arc. "A legendary leader."

Yorky nodded, shoving his hands in his pockets. "Everybody wants to be Rex."

"Cuz everybody's tryna be the best!" Fives said, high-fiving Brodes.
