Joseta turned off the lights of the Hot Rod, her keys jangling in her pocket as Fives jogged off the ship ahead of her. It was another day of research on Reannor City. Kallo had sent her his medical scans to compare to when she scanned Zeta. She had a long day ahead of her.
She took her medpack from the hook by the door to the ramp, pausing when she saw the many lanyards she had yet to go through. Amongst them, something caught her eye. It was the charm Rex had made her for her ship's dash.
Joseta set down her medpack, grasping the small charm in her hands. She rolled her fingers over the beads, imagining him hunched over the little bracelet to fit the small charms and stars. She laughed, though her throat caught. She missed him. He was so kind and thoughtful and intelligent and made her laugh. It was all she had ever wanted in a man.
Carefully sticking the charm in the inner pocket of her leather jacket, she jogged down the ramp, hitting a couple buttons on her keys to close her ship's ramp and lock it. Not that anyone was around to break in.
She made her way through the halls of the city, blowing her bangs from her face. She needed to cut her hair soon, but she really didn't have time. She either did it herself or had Giggles do it. Giggles was more adept at it than one would first think.
Making her way into the medbay, Joseta nodded to Zeta and Tech who sat talking together. Fives was on his commlink, typing quickly away at it. She set her medpack on the counter, sorting through her tools before turning to the computer to get some scans set up. "Zeta, are you ready?" she asked, turning off a few lamps, the only light coming from the scanning machine against the wall.
"Yes, ma'am," came his shrill, shaky voice. Tech and Fives jumped up to help him over to the scanning bed. She followed after, connecting her datapad to the computer wirelessly as she turned on the systems.
"This will only take a few minutes." She clicked the first-level scan.
In silence they waited for it to complete. Joseta really didn't have the energy to talk. She shrugged off her leather jacket, replacing it with her labcoat, though Rex's charm fell out of her jacket. She stuffed it into her labcoat pocket, moving forward to continue examining the scan results.
"There are no viruses or diseases causing this," Joseta said, clenching her jaw. "I checked your DNA and it looks like the previous examinations prior to your episode." She tapped her chin in thought. "I'm going to try a level-two scan to see if there are any inflammations or swellings going on."
"Whatever you need to do," Zeta said, scratching his arm.
She punched the directions into the system. "This will take a bit longer."
During this time, she started uploading Kallo's scans into the system. She wanted to see if she was missing anything since she was dealing with clones. Their scans should all come up pretty much the same.
