21 BBY, Month 9
Adrenaline raced through Ahsoka as the ship rumbled out of hyperspace. Master Skywalker would be arriving from Genetia soon, but it would possibly be too late to save Joseta.
Captain Rex stepped beside Ahsoka, gazing out the window with his helmet under his arm. Ahsoka could sense a disturbance within him. She placed a hand on his shoulder. "She should be fine."
Rex met her gaze, worry still flashing through his amber eyes. "I don't know..." he whispered, his throat bobbing. "If there is a sith being dealt with on the surface, who knows what is on the ship."
Ahsoka nodded, crossing her arms over her chest as she watched the nearing Separatist ship. Yep, it looked like a new one. "We know Dooku is on one of the Core Worlds and Ventress is probably not far behind." She pursed her lips. "Besides, it could all be a misunderstanding as well."Well, we know Dooku is in the Core system right now, and that Ventress is somewhere in the Outer Rim."
Rex shook his head. "All I know is that I have a bad feeling about this."
"Well, then, let's go save your girl," Ahsoka said, shooting Rex a wink. "I'll meet you on the shuttle."
Rex was pretty quick in gathering his troops after Ahsoka waited on the boarding shuttle. He brought with him a smaller group of clones, ones that she was not too familiar with.
They sported the 501st blue, but they had wave motifs across different armor pieces.
Rex watched the nearing Separatist cruiser before shoving on his helmet. "I just have a bad feeling about this."
"While you gather your troops, I will get the attack shuttle ready." Ahsoka's heart went out to the captain before her. He had been through so much, lost so many brothers close to him. She knew he was close to Joseta and possibly in more ways than just friendship, so she couldn't imagine the fear he was facing now. "It'll be fun, Rex. Boarding a Separatist cruiser and then destroying it?" She elbowed him. "Sounds right up your alley."
He let out a chuckle, turning from the window. "It definitely is."

The clone in charge of piloting was trigger happy and Ahsoka didn't like it one bit. She had assumed that being Anakin's padawan had given her a stomach of iron, but this clone pilot was another level of crazy.
"Kelpy, a bit lighter on the spinning, please," Rex said, holding onto the chair's arms.
Kelpy, who was manning the shuttle, shot a look over his shoulder. Though his helmet was on, Ahsoka could sense the frustration from the clone.
All of the clones Rex had brought were unfamiliar to Ahsoka. She vaguely remembered Rylann letting them gather in her room over a year ago, but the group had been larger then. The five had dwindled down to three, being Kelpy, Brody, and Yorky. When they were introduced to Ahsoka, she got a feeling she'd only get along with one of them.
