As Arthur was about to ride out onto the field you came running over. He glanced over when he heard his name being called and saw you. He halted his horse and leaned down, "what is it lady (y/n)?" He asks, "you should be in the stands, with everyone else." He reminds you.

You nod, "yes I know, but I have something for you." You say pulling out your handkerchief to show him, "i thought you could wear it." You say and he nods. You smile and bring it to your lips to kiss before tying it around his arm. You look up at him, "for luck, my lord." You say and he smiles underneath his helmet.

He glances down at it and then back at the noblewoman who had struck his fancy like no other. The only noblewoman who had ever done so. "Thank you, milady, I shall wear it with honor." He replies before sitting upright on his horse and riding away.

You return to the stands to sit with the Lady Morgana and her maidservant, Guinevere. "What did you tell him?" Morgana asks you curiously.

"I simply wished his highness good luck." You answer the woman before turning back to the tournament.

As Arthur rode out you clapped for him like most did in the stands; he was undoubtedly a crowd favorite. As he charges forward toward his opponent with his lance, you grip Morgana's hand very tightly. The woman looked over at you and saw the concern you held for her half-brother.

But you needn't worry for long since Arthur knocked his opponent off of his steed, thus winning the tournament. You clapped as he drew his steed to a halt right in front of where you were sitting.

He slid off his horse and Merlin came over and took the rein's from Arthur. He led the horse away as Arthur took off his helmet and held it up in victory. You caught a glimpse of your handkerchief tied on his raised arm.

Morgana also noticed the handkerchief with your embroidered family crest and smirked. She leaned over, "I think you gave my brother a lot more than luck." She notes and your eyes widen as Arthur comes walking over after the fanfare had died down.

He held out his hand for you and you took it in his gloved one. He took you to his preparation tent and opened the flap for you allowing you to go in first. Once the flap closed behind him you turned around to face him. "I believe congratulations on the tournament is in order." You say.

Arthur says nothing until he's stood in front of you. "I should be thanking you; it would appear you bring me good luck, lady (y/n)." Arthur says with a soft smile glancing quickly down at your lips as he spoke.

You smile, "is that right?" You ask him.

"Indeed." He whispers as he leans in and you do the same. Your lips connect and your heart sings happily like a songbird. You had never felt this way about anyone before, and from how Arthur was kissing you he felt the exact same way.

Your hand skimmed his arm where your handkerchief was tied and you broke the kiss. Arthur looked down to where you were looking and placed his hand on top of yours. You looked up at him and smiled, "you can keep it if you'd like, who knows, it may bring you even more luck." You say.

He smiles and leaned in and brushed a lock of hair out of your face and behind your ear. "I thought it already had?" He whispered before he connected your lips once more, not that you were complaining.
