"Arthur!" You call and your husband whips his head around. He sees you walking down the steps as one hand was supporting your belly while the other was holding the wall.

He rushes over to you, "you should be resting, my love." He says halting you from stepping down further.

"I shall do no such thing until my son is found." You retort to your husband.

"(y/n), I'm serious; your not going!" Arthur said putting his foot down. "I will not put you and the babies life at risk." Arthur said.

You sniffle as tears swelled in your eyes, "I just want him home, Arthur." You cry and Arthur catches your tears with his thumb before he goes in and hugs you softly. "He's only a boy, why would he run-off? It isn't like him." Your motherly instincts already kicking in. You wanting to go find your boy and make sure he was safe; while also understanding why Arthur did not want you going anywhere.

"He's tougher than you give him credit for, he has the blood of a Pendragon and a (l/n)." Arthur says trying to soothe your worries.

It appears to have worked as you sniffle and nod. "Bring him home, Arthur." You plead as he hugs you to him more.

"You have my word, my love. I will return with him, I promise." He said.

"You better." You say before Arthur kisses you softly.

His hands brushed against your belly as he kissed you. Even after 13 years together his kisses still filled you with happiness, just like the first.

You broke your lips from his and rested your forehead against his nose. "Please be safe, Arthur." You whisper.

He rested his forehead against yours, "always." He whispered before he calls over Leon to take you back inside to rest.

"Come along, my lady." Leon says. He takes your hand before you begin to walk back upstairs. Arthur and Merlin both mount their horses before Arthur looks back at you and waits for you to enter the castle.

"Where are we headed, sire?" Merlin asked the king.

Arthur turned to Merlin, "if you tell my wife I know this, I'll execute you myself. But if I know my son, I know exactly where he is." Arthur said confidently, "follow me, Merlin." Arthur said before riding off in the direction of the woods.

About 30 minutes later Arthur followed the familiar trail he and his wife used to take so often when they were first courting. This used to be their favorite spot in all of Camelot. It was where they could hide from his father, and hide from his princely duties. Where he could be with the one he loved without having to hide his feelings.

Arthur and Merlin rode across the stream and sleeping soundly and safe from harm right where Arthur knew he would be...was his son. Arthur let a sigh of relief escape his lips at the notion that he had been correct. He should have never have told his son about this place.

His mare snapped a twig under her hoof and William bolted awake sword already drawn. His eyes adjusted to the light and he saw his father and his servant. He immediately dropped the sword to his side. Arthur stared at his son with a serious expression. "You have a lot of explaining to do, mister." Arthur said slipping off his horse and walking over.

Arthur stared at his son with crossed arms, "am I in trouble?" Will asked his father.

Arthur nodded, "your punishment will be up to your mother." Arthur admits to his son. He wouldn't wish his pregnant wife's wrath on anyone. "But I suggest you come up with one hell of an excuse. What were you doing out here, William?" He asked his son.

William looked anywhere but at his father before he sat down on a fallen log defeated. "I felt—I felt like I wasn't important in your life anymore." He admits sadly.

Arthur's eyes widened as he went and sat down next to him. "Why on earth would you think that?" Arthur asked surprised at his son's statement.

"You and mum are always talking about how excited you are for the baby; I felt like it was better if I was just gone. Because it felt like you didn't love me anymore." Will said honestly.

"Is that what you think?" Arthur asked his son, "Will, your mother is worried sick about you; she wanted to ride out and find you herself. If I didn't love you, do you think I'd be out here looking for you?" Arthur asked his son who shook his head. "Exactly, so don't think for one moment, William Alexander Pendragon, that just because we are exited for this new baby, it doesn't mean we love you any less." Arthur says.

At his father's words Will felt horrible, for scaring his mother. "I'm sorry, dad." Will apologized.

Arthur nodded, "I know you are, but this is the first and last time you ever do this, do you hear me?" Arthur asked. "You scared your mother half to death, do you understand that?" Arthur scolds his son. "This pregnancy is a lot harder on your mother than yours was, Will." Arthur explains, "she's under a lot of stress right now, and you doing this did not help matters." Arthur scolded. "But I didn't come here to yell at you—your mother can take care of that—I'm just happy you're safe." Arthur said.

Will hugged his dad tightly, "I'm so sorry, dad."

"I know you are, Will; but save the apologies for your mother. She's the one you need to be apologizing too." Arthur said, "now come on, I think it's time we take you home." Arthur said and Will nodded. The three all rode back to Camelot together in silence.

While they rode back to Camelot you had been pacing in your room since Leon had dropped you off here. Guinevere had came in and tried to get you to sit down but you wouldn't have it. Not until your son came home—so you could kill him!

But when you glanced out the window and saw Arthur's armored body on his horse, that was trailed by two other horses and riders you nearly fainted. Thankfully you kept your composure and rushed down into the courtyard to meet them. "My son!" You call out to William who dismounts his horse and runs over and hugs you.

"I'm sorry mother, I'm so sorry." Will apologized as tears pricked his eyes.

"Where did you go? Why didn't you come back?" You ask as tears burned in your eyes. Your hands trailed over his body searching for any injuries. You held him tighter to yourself as you cried and he held you. As much as you were angry with him, you were happy that he was unharmed. "You've got a lot of explaining to do, mister." You mumble into your son's hair, "but I'm just happy you're safe." You mumble.

Arthur gave Merlin the reigns for his horse as he walked over. He went in to hug the both of you and you lifted your head to see Arthur. "Thank you for bringing him home." You whisper and Arthur leaned his head against yours.

"Always." He whispered and the three of you just stood there holding onto each other.
