1969 - Black manor (edited)
Estrella pov
"Estrella where are you?" I hear Bellatrix, my cousin -well only biologically speaking in life we're sisters- shout through the long halls of my aunt and uncle's manor.
"I'm here," I call and a moment later she enters her bedroom where I am busy admiring all the things she bought for Hogwarts yesterday at Diagon Alley. I can't wait to go to Hogwarts.
"Can I see your wand?" I ask. Out of everything that excites me the most. We all have training wands but none of them have truly chosen use which makes it harder to produce magic, not that it has stopped me or my siblings. It's one way that I know always works in getting the approval of my parents. Whenever I do magic they constantly praise me telling me that 'I'll make a powerful witch' and 'of course you're so powerful you're my daughter and a Black.'
"Of course," Bellatrix says, as she takes her wand out of its case.
"Wow, it's beautiful," I say.
"It has a dragon heartstring as its core, the wood is walnut and it is 12¾ inches long," Bellatix says with excitement.
"I wish I could be going to Hogwarts," I say, that's when someone decides to let us know they have been eavesdropping on our conversation by laughing loudly. I turn around to see Sirius and Regulus, my annoying older brothers but I love them anyway.
"I think you are a little bit young for Hogwarts," Sirius says, trying to control his laughter.
"Guys let her dream, besides I don't see what's so funny," another voice says. It was Andromeda, a.k.a my saviour. She and Bellatrix are always there to save me when my brothers decide to gang up on me. Like I said they might be my cousin's but at heart they're my sisters.
"Oh come on Andi she is five you know you have to be eleven to start Hogwarts," Regulus says. I'm going to curse him later for that maybe make him break out in boils or make him lose all his hair.
"I said let her dream," Andromeda replies clearly annoyed.
"Anyway our parents want to talk to us," Andromeda says. The tension became so thick you could cut it with Bellatrix's new wand, and we all had a good reason to fear our parents. For as the saying goes: you should never mess with a Black. And it's rather easy to end up on our parents' bad side but I know that they're just raising us the way a Black is supposed to be raised. Sophisticated, better than everyone else, always on top, perfect.
"You wanted to talk with us," Bellatrix says nervously once having entered the sitting room where our parents are having tea.
"Yes it's about you going to Hogwarts," father says.
"But why are the others here?" Bellatrix asks.
"Just listen Bellatrix," my uncle Cygnus says in a stern voice.
"Yes father," Bellatrix replies.
"As you all know you are all part of the Noble and most Ancient house of Black. Therefore we want all of you to be placed in the right house, Slytherin," mother says.
"We also want you to be together with the right people, Purebloods. Don't even bother to talk to any half bloods. And don't even dare look at mudbloods," Druella says.
"Don't worry I would never talk to any mudbloods unless I'm casting a curse with my wand pointed at them," Bellatrix says in disgust, she has a strong distaste for anyone who wasn't of a respectable bloodstatus, as do the rest of us.
