Chapter 8

[It starts with Duke looking at a girl in the distance before Peter and Dick come behind and say]

Dick: Who are you staring at?

Duke: GAH!

[Duke says, screaming as Peter laughs at this. Duke looks a bit embarrassed by this]

Duke: I'm not staring.

Peter: You know if you like her, you should ask her out.

Duke: I'm not--that isn't--I mean, hypothetically, if I wanted to do that, how would I...?

[Peter says]

Peter: Well, seeing as Y/N is the only one to have, actual stable relationship with someone, I would say go ask him. And also me and Dick are terrible at love advice.

Dick: [turns with a fake offended face] Um, excuse you! If you may know, I watch a lot of romcom TV shows, so I am well versed in love.

Peter: And that's the exact reason you are terrible at telling love advice.

Duke: Um, okay... thanks.

[Duke walks off to go find Y/N for advice as it cuts to Y/N, Jason, Damian, and Tim all together, on a stakeout for a villain. The only thing that's off is that Y/N has his Arkham Knight suit, but instead has a stormtrooper helmet. Tim and Jason have been staring at Y/N for the past hour. He then says]

Y/N: [deep sigh] If a single mother fuckin' one of you makes even ONE goddamn stormtrooper joke. I swear to my dead fucking paren-

[Tim then does the jedi mind trick motion]

Tim: It is not the robins you are looking for.

[Y/N then slams his hand on the dashboard and yells at Tim]

Y/N: What did I just fucking say?!

Jason: Hey, Y/N, I just want to make sure, you know If you are trying to go non lethal sometimes, there are easier ways then missing all the goddamn time right?

[Y/N lays his head on the steering wheel]

Y/N: I hate this fucking family...

Damian: Aren't you a little tall to be stormtrooper?

[Slams a hand on the dashboard again]

Y/N: It is fucking laundry day! It is the only other helmet I have!

Tim: What About Venom?

Y/N: He is on a goddamn date with Steph today since it's his turn to hang out with her. So no, I do-

[Duke then knocks on the window, and Y/N turns and rolls down the window. He then says slightly annoyed]

Y/N: What?

Duke: Um, can I ask you something real quick?

[Y/N then lays his head on the steering wheel and sighs while saying]

Y/N: Fucking christ...

[He lifts his head up]

Y/N: Fine! Fine.

[He gets out the car and says]

Y/N: Alright, what is it?

Duke: I.... may or may not like this girl and seeing as you have a girlfriend yourself and it seems to go good for you, what did you do to impress her?

Y/N: Um....

[Looks up and thinks back to how he tripped in High School which caused him to fall into Stephanie and then accidentally kissing her]

Y/N: I, um don't think I'm the best person to ask, you should have probably asked Venom.

Duke: Why?

Y/N: Because he took control and asked Steph on a date. I was lucky she like ME and not just him. She mostly likes both of us but whatever...

Duke: Right...

Y/N: Just ask her to the movies or to get coffee or something. Worse, she do is say no to you. Well, that's If she's more of a Kate Kane kind of girl. If so, she would try to insult you I some way. Trust me, Kate insults me all the time though I think she's still warming up to me.

Duke: Oh, well, um, thanks Y/N.

[Duke shakes Y/N's hand]

Y/N: No problem, Duke. Oh, and Duke.

[Duke puts on a questioning look before Y/N yanks him and whispers into his ear]

Y/N: If you ever tell anyone about how I met Stephanie, I will end you. Understood?

Duke: [Gulp] Yep.

Y/N: Oh, and try to work in a couple of puns in as well. Ladies love that shit.

Duke: That's some.... interesting advice.

[After struggling to talk to the girl he likes, it cuts to Duke and Anna sitting there on a bench as he says]

Anna: Hey! I tried to catch you after class. But you practically sprinted out of there. I wanted to give you something.

[She then gives him a piece of paper]

Duke: What is this?

Anna: My number. In case you ever wanted to study together. Or.... to see a movie or something, that'd be cool too.

[Duke then thinks to himself, "Did she just....?" and then just gets up nervously]

Anna: Or not. I guess, don't worry about it.

Duke: Wait!

[Duke says, stopping her. He then says with a smile]

Duke: I'd love to see a movie with you. Or study. Whatever you want.

Anna: Then I guess it's a date!

[She walks off as Duke turns to walk off he stops when he sees Y/N infront of him with a smile. A genuine one]

Y/N: Well, would you look at that. The Signal got some game.

Duke: Hey! Should you really be saying my other name out here?

Y/N: Eh, don't worry about it. I can just pay off whoever hears it. Or shoot them whatever works better.

[Y/N then sees a piece of paper]

Y/N: I gotta say, you got a good taste in women.

Duke: Um, thanks?

[Y/N wraps a arm around Duke and says]

Y/N: Now, about I show you a couple places you can take this "Anna" out. Sound cool?

Duke: [smiles] Absolutely!

[It fades to black]
