Samuel met them outside of the Outcasts home. He ran over to Ani as she stumble landed and hugged her tightly. "You’re alive!" he shouted, tightening his grip.

Ani laughed and hugged him back. "Why wouldn’t I be?" she pulled away and glanced at the boys, making sure that they were okay. They looked fine.

He tilted his head slightly and glanced at the others. "The earthquake at your old home. The entire school was destroyed. A lot of the other houses around it fell down to."

Ani felt faint. She started to fall back and felt David grab her before she could hit the ground. He glanced at Luke and nodded at him.

Luke looked at Samuel. "Did anyone survive?" he asked him, keeping his voice low and neutral as not to make Ani panic.

Samuel nodded. "Yeah, the school was closed so only those with detention died." He closed his eyes. "No human deaths, only Angel and Demon." He opened his eyes. "It’s the sixty-third seal, they broke it."

Sheen pushed open the door to their underground hide out and stepped outside. "News just reached us that they are working on breaking the sixty-fourth, but the Angels declared war on Hell. They are fighting back."

David lifted Ani into his arms and walked over to Luke. "Take her." Luke took Ani into his arms and David huffed. "Watch her. We need to set up a guard. With a war going on and her having her full power it will be even easier for them to find her. This time they can actually kill her. We need to find Jake, he can set up everything else."

Luke set Ani on her feet and walked with her into the hide out. She glanced at him as they walked. "Thank you for letting me walk."

He shrugged. "It’s no big deal. I know you’re not weak. I have spent a few life times with you. You don’t like to be the damsel in distress."

She nodded and saw Mary sitting next to Kate on the ground. Mary was crying and Kate was holding her tightly.

Mary glanced up as she heard them and quickly stood. She walked over to Ani. "Did Heaven really declare war on Hell? Are Kate and I really on opposite sides?"

Luke shifted nervously. "We know about as much as you do right now. We just got here a few minutes ago. All we know is that sixty-three of the seals are broken."

She glanced at Ani and wiped at her eyes. "You got your true form. Where is Jake?" Kate looked around with her.

Ani almost didn’t want to tell them where he was…but she felt bad for them. "He is on his way. He was at my house when the earthquake hit. I am sure that he will be here soon. Everything is going to be fine. I promise. We can fix this."

Kate hugged Mary’s shoulder. "You are right Ani. We are the outcasts; we can do what we wish. We will win this and everyone will be alright."

Both of the girls bowed their head to Ani and walked down the hall to their room. Ani had learned a while back that they shared a room.

Luke held tightly her Ani’s arm as they walked down the hall. He led her to the TV room and closed the door behind them.

Ani walked past him to the couch and grabbed the TV remote. She turned on the TV and stared at the screen.

A pictured of a destroyed building was the main picture. It was their school, the first school that she had actually loved. Destroyed by the war between Heaven and Hell.

She sat on the couch and put the remote next to her. The name of the town scrolled across the bottom of the screen.

She turned to protest as the TV turned off and saw Luke staring at the blank screen. He walked around her and sat next to her on the couch. "Neither of us wanted to see that." He whispered.

Ani was about to say she did want to see it when she suddenly burst into tears. People had died, and she felt like it was her fault. If she had just stayed with her father none of this would have happened.

Luke grabbed her and pulled her into his chest. He gently stroked her hair. "It’s alright Ani. Everything will be alright."

Ani buried her head in his chest. "They died Luke. They’re dead." She let out a sob.

Luke put his head on hers and held her tightly. "They are in a better place Ani. A place far from this war and the evil that has tainted the world."

Ani did nothing but cry in his arms for hours before she was finally all cried out. She stayed curled into Luke’s chest, to tired to move. Finally, after a few moments, she fell asleep in his arms.
