-David P.O.V-

David was getting annoyed and inpatient. Ani had told him she would think about going to London with him. What was there to think about? He knew how much she wanted to go. He thought about Grell, the man he told everyone was his father. Grell thought asking her to come had been a mistake. He said she would waist his time, and take time from hunting.

At this point David didn't care. He hated being away from her; he wanted to spend every moment possible with her. He even started hanging out with her when she was with Luke. Every time he was away from her he felt like he was being stabbed.

Lust was an emotion he was used to, could live with, but this feeling...this feeling of...

David stood up, causing all the guys to look at him. "I'll be right back." He left the room before any of them could stop him. He needed a few minutes to himself.

Looking back and forth he chose a random direction and started walking. David hated this school, hated it to his core. In some ways it was worse then Hell, at least in Hell he could do as he wished. Here he had to watch his step.

This school was for Angels and Demons who were troubled, or had gotten in trouble. David was in neither category, he was only there because Grell thought it would help in his training. The only thing he learned was better patents, he guessed that was helpful, in someway.

David froze and cocked his head to the side, he could hear a soft ruffle of wings a few halls away. It was getting closer. Shifting slightly he entered a shadow. A moment later Luke flew past him. ‘Where is he off to?’ David thought.

Making a quick split second decision he stepped out of the shadows and ran after Luke. Carefully masking his footsteps. He cursed as he saw the door Luke had slipped in to. Door number 12. It was the only room that he wasn’t allowed inside. It was a rom made just for Angels.

Slowly he stopped in front of the door; Luke had left the door slightly ajar. He got as close as he could without being seen and listened.

"I need to speak with my father right away." He heard Luke tell the other person in the room. What did he want with his father?

David listened to the other persons answer, it sounded like Mrs. Cuppy. "Your father is very busy at the moment dear. Maybe he will have a little free time later."

David flinched, something he hadn't done in years, as something slammed on her desk. "I need to speak to him now." His voice was dark and could send a shiver down your spine.

Mrs. Cuppy answered him. "I-I'll call him. I'll t-tell him you-you want to speak with him." Her voice was shaking.

David chuckled to himself. He had been told Luke had a temper. It was the whole reason Luke was at the school, he was an Angel with a dark side. He loved to see how far he could push him before he finally snapped and security was called in. It was his favorite game before Ani came.

"Is he coming?" He heard Luke ask. His voice filled with inpatient frustration.

David shied away from the door as a soft, powerful voice flooded the room. "I am here my son." There was a pause for a few moments before he spoke again. "You wished to speak to me now speak. I am very busy and do not have time for this."

David could almost see Luke tremble. "I-I saw her, f-fath-father. Th-the girl w-we've been l-lo-looking f-for."

David got even closer to the door, listening harder. Luke knew who she was? This was perfect. "Who is she my son? Where is she right now?" Luke’s father asked him.

David could hear the hesitation in Luke’s voice. "She is with her guardian now. He appeared once I learned who she was."

"What. Is. Her. Name?" Luke’s father paused on each word to make his point. His voice was bubbling with rage. David realized Luke probably got his anger issues from his father.

He heard Luke sigh in defeat. "Her name is Anibeth." He whispered. "She's my new friend Ani." David's mind froze. Ani? No it was impossible. He would have sensed it, would have known. Almost his entire life was to find her and she had been with him the entire time? David shook his head; it was too much to think about. He couldn’t focus on the past. He needed to focus on the present.

"We have to kill her." David jumped as he heard Luke’s father’s voice. Kill her? No. He couldn't let that happen.

"I can give you her address father. Also she is friends with a Demon named David. He may know where she is." David hissed. How dare that little rat bring his name into this.

David had heard enough. He was turning to leave when Mrs. Cuppy spoke. "Sir. If what your son says is true and she is with her guardian then shouldn't we hurry?"

David stood for a moment longer. "Yes. Luke, go and tell a Searcher everything you know. We need to find her."

David started walking away from the door. He had to find Ani before they did. He started thinking. Her guardian couldn't get her that far in this short amount of time. Most likely he would try to hide her, then would make sure no one suspected him before he either killed her again or stole her away. Again.

As David turned a corner he saw Mr. C running down the hall. He stopped as he saw David. "Oh David, good. I thought I heard something. Is everything alright?" he seemed off and jumpy. Almost like he was guilty.

David nodded and continued walking forward, the last piece of the puzzle falling into place. To think this was all pure luck that he found all of this. "Everything is fine. Luke is just speaking with his father." David could feel the shadows growing around him. He didn’t bother hiding now, not when she was this close.

All the color drained from Mr. C's face. "Arch-Angel Gabriel is here?" His voice was a small whisper against David’s back.

David smiled as he turned another corner and left Mr. C behind. He felt the shadows wash over him and felt a power fill him. He knew the shadows had changed him. He was now wearing black pants like the shadows instead of his jeans, and his football shirt was now a long sleeved black shirt. A cloak of shadows hung from his shoulders and he could feel the weight of his sword against his right hip.

He was a Hunter. Feared by Angels and humans, respected by all. Including his king.

David stopped outside of Mr. C's room, hoping he really had found the last puzzle piece. He felt the shadows lap at his feet like waves on the shore. Taking a deep breath the door opened for him and he stepped inside.

Just as he suspected Ani was sleeping, curled in a ball, in the middle of the room on the floor. He smiled. She was alone. Slowly he walked over to her and looked down at her. Here she is. After thousands of years we finally found, we finally got to her first. Carefully he lifted her into his arms, not wanting to wake her. "Do not worry my princess. I shall bring you home." He pulled the shadows closer. "I will not let them take you again."

David turned slightly when he saw Jake at the door, a look of horror on his face. Before Jake could react though David pulled himself and Ani into the shadows and they disappeared.
