Kidnapped........Yet Again

Ani lay in her soft twin bed. The room she was in was small, but it held her bed with a dresser that held her clothes. The dresser had a small lamp on it but it was off right now.

She was trying to sleep, but her mind was moving at a million miles per hour trying to process all of the emotions it was feeling.

She had loved Jake for a few of her life times now, each life time that love growing. But David was really fun and adventurous; he always had something new planned for the day. Then Luke could make her smile with only a few words and was so sweet and kind.

She closed her eyes. How am I going to decide? She asked herself. I wish it could be simple, like in the stories. She finally felt sleep start to claim her and started to drift off.

Ani shot up as a wave of panic filled her, then suddenly disappeared. She quickly looked around her room, her heart racing. The room was silent.

She was about to get up and see if something was happening outside of her room when she heard foot steps coming closer. Then her door opened and Luke looked in. His face went from panic to relieved. "Hey Ani, you're awake."

Ani nodded. "I couldn't sleep. What's going on Luke?"

Luke shook his head. "Nothing you need to worry about. Just try to get some sleep. Please Ani." he bit his lip, then nodded. "Be safe." he closed the door.

Ani lay back down and looked at the ceiling. Be safe? What was going on? She started thinking. Why had she felt panic, when she wasn't afraid? The answer clicked suddenly. Jake could see in her head, so why couldn't she see in his? It made sense that if he felt something strong enough she would feel it. The question though. Why was he panicked?

She closed her eyes. Why was her life so difficult? Why couldn't she just have normal human teenage problems? She just wanted her life to go back to normal.

"It can." Ani shot up as she heard a soft, silky, female voice come from somewhere close to her.

A woman stood at the foot of the bed, which faced the door. She had long flowing blond hair that reached down her back with piercing green eyes. She wore a black cocktail dress that contracted with her pale white skin. Her lips were blood red.

Ani pushed herself away from her until she hit the headboard and couldn't move back any farther. "W-who are you?" she whispered, terrified. This woman just seemed to radiate scary.

The woman smiled, her teeth were needle sharp and stained pink with blood. "My name is Lillith, I was the first Demon ever made by your father." she put her hands on the end of the bed, her nails looked sharper than her teeth. "You are so much more beautiful then they said you would be." she crawled onto the bed. "You just look so yummy." she licked her lips.

Ani tried to use her powers, but Jake had forgotten to unlock them. "What do you want?" she tried to push herself closer to the wall. Her heart was beating a mile a minute.

Lillith crawled closer until she was right in front of her. She brushed a hand against Ani's cheek. "I want you, but that is not allowed." she sighed. "Your father sent me to collect you. Time to come home."

She grabbed Ani and pulled her close to her. Ani could feel the shadows coming closer, threatening to swallow her. She screamed and tried to fight them.

Suddenly she heard Jake in her head. "Ani!"

Before she could respond the shadows covered her and she lost herself.

~Jake P.O.V~

He stood staring at Ani's now empty bed. He had been a second to late. Why did he always seem to be a second to late in this life time?

David appeared next to him. "The Demons have left Jake." he looked at the room and all the color drained from his face. "Where is Ani?"

Luke ran over. "What do you mean where is Ani?" he looked into the room and saw that she was gone.

Jake hung his head. "I have failed her. Lillith took her. She is in Hell now. My job as a Guardian was to keep her from Heaven and Hell. I have failed." he felt his heart shatter. There was no way he could get her back now. Hell had too much security; he should know that better than anyone. Maybe if Ani had her wings, but he had promised her mother he wouldn't let her use them.

All of the stress of this life time was getting to him. With Ani remembering, the seals being broken and her being in love with three people…it was all too much for him.

David shook his head. "We'll just go get her. I've broken out of Hell a few times, so there has to be a way to break in."

Luke took a deep breath, then nodded. "I think my father has a map of Hell somewhere. I could borrow it and we could use it to get in."

Jake looked at both of them. They were willing to risk their lives for her, when they didn't have to and here he was about to give up when it was his job to give his life for her. He gave them a small smile. "We will get her back. It can't be that hard to get into Hell."

A voice behind them caused them all to jump and look back into the hall. "No, it isn't that hard at all." Lillith.

David narrowed his eyes and Luke stepped back slightly. Jake met her head on. "You better be here to give Ani back. If not I will kill you."

Lillith laughed and stepped closer to them, Jake could see the way the shadows moved towards her. "You couldn't kill me if you tried." her eyes brightened. "Oh wait, you have tried. During the war." she laughed again. "I believe I'm still here."

Jake tried to force back the memory. He had thought he loved her, so he had let her live. His worst decision ever. "I hesitated last time. I will not this time."

Lillith smiled. "You won't get the chance." she snapped and the shadows grabbed all three of them. "I forgot the mention. Lucifer wants you three to."

Jake took a deep breath and held it as the shadows tightened around him, squeezing him. Nothing really seemed to work out for him in this life time. He hoped that would change and fast.

With one final squeeze they disappeared with Lillith.
