Ani sighed and started pacing the room again. She was locked in, this time by Jake. He had been....for lack of a better word....upset when she got home. He had met her where she appeared, grabbed her, threw her in her room and locked the door. She was worried about David; she had no idea what the others would do to him. When she had first been locked in she tried using her powers, but Jake used his ability as her Guardian to lock them so she couldn't use them.

After a few hours of pacing and worrying she heard the door unlock. She stopped and watched it open. She knew it wasn't Jake; the pull in her head was still far away. Luke walked in and watched her for a moment. "Why did you bring him here Ani?"

Ani shook her head. "I don't know." she regretted bringing him now that he was here. Why did things always happen like that? "Everything happened so fast." Had she even been thinking when she’d done it? She doubted it.

He sighed. "Jake sent me to come and get you. He wants to talk to you about what happened." Ani noticed a flash of pain in his eyes.

Ani inwardly sighed and followed him out of the room. So they knew about the kiss. Could she keep anything secret from these people? He led her down the halls to a dim lit room. David was sitting in a chair, when she entered he smiled and his whole face brightened. "Ani."

Luke rolled his eyes. "You were right Jake. He is in love."

Ani looked at Jake, who was leaning against the wall by the door. He looked dark and scary, half hidden by the shadows. Play dumb. She told herself. "What does he mean?"

She flinched back as Jake glared at her. His eyes a bright red against the darkness of the shadows. "You know exactly what he means." so playing dumb didn't work.

David turned and looked at him. "You can't blame her Jake. She had no control over what was going on."

Jake pushed away from the wall, rage burning in his eyes. "So you kissed her without consent?" his accent slipped through. She remembered from a past life he told her it was Italian.

Luke stepped between them. "Guys stop. You can fight later." he glanced at Ani, then looked back at them.

David glanced at Ani as well, then leaned back in his chair. "Alright. I can do that."

Jake crossed his arms and looked away; Ani could tell he was still upset. "Whatever." he mumbled in answer.

Ani looked at both of them, the realization hitting her. They both loved her. Both had told her that fact, so she knew it was true. She looked at Luke. "Are they seriously fighting over me?" she whispered to him.

Luke chuckled and Jake glanced over at them. "Yeah. I think they are. It's funny really."

Ani looked at both of them. "I don't think you should be fighting over me. I mean, what makes you think I'll pick either one of you?" Did they think they were the only guys on the planet? Were they that self centered or something?

Jake jumped and faced her, David sat up straighter. David tilted his head. "But....Who else is there?"

The color drained from her face. She hadn't expected them to ask that question. Why had they? She wouldn't have if she were in there shoes. Who would ask who else was there? Really, there was a whole world filled with people. Maybe she liked one of them or she didn't like either of them. Alright she was lying to herself now.

Jake gave a grim smiled. "There is someone else." he whispered. "Just like he said there would be."

David stood up and watched her. "Who is it Ani?"
