Stan can feel hair raise on the back of his neck as Mike tells the horrific story of his parents dying, but he quickly zones out. That's when he notices you, jogging up with your headphones plugged into your WalkMan. Your dog runs at your side and he can't help but stare at your content face, your relaxed gaze, your toned legs from going on runs so often.
You catch his eye and he blushes, but can't look away. You smile, recognizing him from school, and wave. With a shy, dreamy grin, he waves after you have already turned away.
