"Why is that?" you ask him as you walk towards your house. He shrugs, wheeling his bike alongside you.
"I don't want to ruin it. Plus, my dad would kill me if my bike got run over, stolen, scratched . . . Who knows all of the terrible things that could happen to my sad little bike."
You laugh and Stan smiles at your face, enjoying the fact that he makes you happy. "Jeez, Stan. I didn't realize you had a soft spot for your bike."
"I have emotions too, you know," he smirks, elbowing you playfully.
