billie's pov:

after getting myself a drink i returned to where logan was sat in the hot sun.

"whatcha doing?" i questioned, placing my arms loosely around her neck.

it was clear that when we came into contact, her skin was significantly cooler than mine however it was extremely sweaty.

she lifted her head to look at me before returning her gaze to her phone.

"nothing." she mumbled into my arm.

i let go of her neck and placed myself infront of her, becoming increasingly concerned by how distant she was.

her face was pale and her skin was clammy but i couldn't figure out what was wrong.

"what's wrong?" i questioned.

she shrugged, although her motions were slow and her stare was becoming glazed.

"how's the music coming along?" she asked, her speech slightly slurred.

i furrowed my brows, confused by what she was talking about.

"i haven't been working on any music today?" i told her.

she gave me a small smile before her tongue came out to wet her lips slightly.

it was clear that her body was becoming weaker but i had no idea what was causing it.

"i think we should go inside." i told her, trying to hide the concern in my voice.

she shook her head slowly, visibly struggling to hold her up head up by herself.

i had dealt with logan fainting before but that was because she hadn't had enough fluids.

i haven't exactly been tracking what she's been drinking but maybe that could be the issue.

"bil-e don't fe- feel well." she slurred.

i lifted my hand to support her head, trying to remember exactly what i had done previously.

she rested her head against my hand, resting her hand on my arm as she became more and more anxious.

"i can't see!" she panicked.

i looked down at her, her skin was now pale and clammy and her lips had a slightly blue tint.

"it's okay, i'm here." i reassured her.

my eyes stayed closely watching logan, her faciall expression slowly dropping from her face.

it wasn't long before her eyes shut and her head fell into the palm of my hand , the rest of her body slumping in the chair.

"billie?" i heard mom call.

i lifted my head just in time to see mom walking out of the sliding doors and towards us.

"is she okay?" she asked, visibly concerned.

my attention turned back to logan who body was beginning to jolt slightly as i held her up.

i nodded cautiously, still keeping my eye on logan to make sure that she was still breathing.

"we need to get her out of the heat." she told me.

although i knew she was right, there was no way i could carry logan inside safely so we would just have to wait until she was back with us.

logan's pov:

my eyes opened slowly, my vision a little blurry as if i had been asleep for a while.

but the second that i saw billie standing over me i began to panic, confused by what had happened.
