When the fight is over he quickly runs over to Alex." You are what 16...? You just took down a grown man with a few punches." He smiles." You've seen me do that same thing to three full grown men, and yes I am sixteen."
" I'm not happy about that or your back." Pain flew across his face and he began to feel again. His legs buckle but hold and he feels dizzy." What happened... How could... I pushed you into a wall with those on your back!" Tears began to swell up in her eyes." I hurt you because I'm selfish and wanted to know what was wrong." Adrian doesn't like when any girls or women cry especially if the tears are for him. He gathers her in a hug and holds her there until she stops. Then she hugs him back and they stay there." Adrian Xaiver Young! What did I tell you about being with girls in your line of work!" His father slams his hand down hard on adrians back. The pain sores through him and makes him release Alex." Leave him alone!" Alex screams. His dad slaps him again, this time harder. Adrian can't take it. He drops to his knees then fell to the floor completely." You are not allowed to have a girl friend!"
"He is not my boyfriend! He was cheering me up because I was crying." Adrian knows that is his father's last straw." Now your letting them stand up for you!" His dad kicks him in the side." Take that home! Then get your ass home we need to have a nice little chat." His dad stomps away and Alex kneels down to help him. She grabs his arm." Get off of me!" He yells and rips his arm away. Alex stares at him then stands up. He pushes himself up and takes her hand." I'm sorry. It's just my dad had hammered it into me that I have to be alone." She hugs him then looks up at him." I've only known you for a week, but can I be your girlfriend." He looks down at her." Yes. Because I really like you too." Adrian picks up his shirt and puts it on, then his shoes. He puts his jeans in his bag and starts walking towards the door. Alex grabs his hand and they walk out into the night. Adrian walks slowly so Alex can keep up with him as he walks her home." What does your dad do for a living?" She says as they walk up to her house." Nothing he's my manger for the ring. Whenever we get an offer for more money he moves me to that location. I'm not allowed to have a girlfriend either because she will distract me and pull me away from the ring." Alex drags him up her porch and opens the door and pulls him in." Well that is definitely true. You shouldn't have to pay for you and your father to live." He stops letting her drag him. His mind goes to his mom burning alive in the house." Don't try to talk to my father about stopping. He won't. I've tried and so has my mother." He pulls his hand from hers and turns towards the door." What does your father do to you?"
