Chapter 11

Adrian hasnt talked in school since the night he had dinner with Alex's family. The only thing they do is kiss and hug, he sits by her and holds her hand at their table. Each day he had more bruises and more cuts hidden by his hoodie. Alex cant tell though and she cant stand it anymore. After school Alex goes over to Adrian house and knocks no one answers so she opens the door herself. She walks into the kitchen as footsteps sound on the front porch. "What the hell? Who's there! Adrian did you get out? Adrian!" Adrians dad comes into the kitchen and looks at her. "What are you doing here? Adrian isn't here."
"That's not what you were just screaming! Where's Adrian? What have you been doing to him?" Adrians dad glared at her with hatred I his eyes. "You are on my property. I could call the police." Alex walks around him and out the door. She walks down the street and into her house she watches his house from her bedroom window. She waits until she sees the dad leave for the night to go get Adrian fights for tomorrow. She quietly runs down the stairs and out the front door, she sprints to adrians house and quickly enters. "Adrian! Adrian! Where are you? If you can hear me make a noise!" She waits a minute then she hears a thud come from above. She hurries over to the stairs and grabs the rail. Then she steps on something crusty she looks down and see's dried blood on the railing and steps. All she can think is Adrian and starts taking the steps two at a time. She gets to the second floor and starts sear hing Adrian's room. Alex knows he is up here. She can feel him up here. She runs into the master bedroom. The closet is cover in locks and has a towel over the bottom crack. Alex looks around the room, on the end table sits a ring of keys. Alex grabs them and unlocks the door.
