Heart Beating Love

Chapter 2

Adrian can't believe he let a girl stand up for him against a jerk like that. His father would give him a beating for letting a girl stick up for him. Like his dad always says "Don't let anyone stand up for you. You have two legs of your own."
Adrian walks into the office and up to the front desk. "Name please." The secretary asks him with a smile.
His voice comes out low and masculine " Um Adrian Young."
The secretary looks at the computer screen and starts typing. She gets up and grabs a piece of paper off the printer." Here you go dear, it's your list of classes. If you have any questions just come back here and ask."
Yeah right, all they did was tell him how to get to each class. He smiles, turns, and walks out of the office. He gets to his assigned locker as the warning bell rings. Adrian decides to skip opening his locker and goes to his first class, math, great. Adrian walks down the hallway to the door with the number on it. He see's a short old man in a tie and dress pants by the door.
"Excuse me is this Mr.Eterman's math?" Adrian asks the man who he thinks might be his teacher.
"This is. I'm Mr.Eterman's. You can call me Mr.E. and you are?"
Adrian keeps his eyes glued to the floor so the teacher doesn't stare at his face. "Adrian Young sir."
The man smiles then gestures towards the door." Come in Mr.Young please close any seat you like."
Adrian walks in and see's the girl from this morning in the front row of seats. Oh this day is going to be long he thinks as he takes a seat in the back. The next hour goes by in a flash because all Adrian can focus on are all the girls staring at him. All except the girl who helped him this morning. When class ends, he goes to his next class and another and another until it is lunch time. Adrian grabs a seat at an empty table and sets his stuff down to go get lunch. When he gets in line the girl from this morning is in front of him chatting her friend's ear off while they get lunch. He eats lunch and goes to the rest of his classes for that day. The final bell rings and everyone runs for the door except him. He waits until everyone files out of the room to get up. As he gets out the door, that girl steps in front of him.
"Who ate you?" She asks as he trys to go around her.
"Adrian Young what's it to you?"
She looks at him for a moment, "I'm Alexandra Morris people call me Alex."
"Cool" he says as he finally makes it around her. He starts walking towards the place the fight is being held. He gets a few blocks away from the school when he hears a scream. He freeze's for a moment then turns to quickly follow the noise.
